100k Profit at MTT's
Hello All,
This is a simple thread. Make 100k profit from mtt's. I got laid off from my job a couple of months ago and ha
hey mate- what's the most amount of FTs you had in a day?
also any tips for a cooldown session after a long grind?
Played 14hrs while working from home today and found 5 fts- Im like wrecked but cant switch off because ive been looking at a screen all day
so any tips??
Hey DAMMO. I really don't know but i'm guessing around 5 ft's in one day was the most I ever had. I think Belthazorrr's advice is good, especially the no screen time part. You're brain will have just endured hours of a workout and it's going to feel difficult to calm down. I think walking/running is very very good to help bring you back to center and calm you down. Then maybe a quick 5 min meditation or even some breathwork exercises. You will literally feel calmer. Getting proper sleep is crucial to playing good poker so I would prioritize it by doing all the right things before going to bed. GL
APRIL:
$7,134 + $1,269 on coin for a total of $8,403

By april 25th I was having a breakeven month and knew I was running bad. But I stuck with it and kept trying to play my best. There is still a lot of work to do in this dept as i'm still having the occasional blow up, but the signs are very promising. I kept firing and bore the fruits of my off the table work the last week of the month. Quite a nice upswing to close it out.
Now to play even better in May. Will be taking a week off this month though as i'm taking a small vacation. The volume will ofc not be as as high bc of this but that's fine. I'll be well rested and back in time for the middle of the Rattlesnake series on global. Will likely switch over to some night sessions during this series.
Question want directed to me but , This is common for mtt grind. I drink a lot of coffee too and i have issue to fall asleep after grinding. I personally find hitting the gym and hot shower while avoiding any screen for the next 2 hours the best way to cope with the issue
Hey Mate thanks for the reply. I am going to deffs try this more as most of my sessions finish at nighttime here in AUS. Thanks for responding

Hey Mate thanks for the response. Yeah this is a leak for me I generally dont do much after the session then eat and get into bed! I deffs agree with good sleep to play good poker- had a winning session today but on 4hrs sleep and a start time of 5:30am for the grind. Made a few mistakes in big spots because I was on auto pilot- think this is down to lack of sleep and being tired.
Great advice as always! - Loving the blog as always!
Also enjoy the vacation! Where are you off too?
"I really would like anyone's opinion on the above hand though if you feel strongly about it one way or another i'd like to get others' insights."
Yes I like your idea that makes great sense, but; folding somewhere is better.
Currently on a week vacation in Florida but will be back in action by this Friday. It's been very nice to take a break away from the tables and reset a bit. The beaches here are amazing and they have the whitest sand I have ever seen. Besides being in a car crash while taking an uber yesterday(seriously) and some sun burn, this has been a great trip 😀 Both cars in the crash were going sub 20mph so thankfully nobody was injured. Our uber drivers suv was pretty messed up though and it wouldn't even drive after the front right hand side of the frame got messed up bad. A fireman(woman actually) tried to move it originally but while doing so she bust out the front right tyre. Tow truck came eventually and after we dealt with the cops we were able to call another uber and continue our vacation 😀
Gonna be hopping right back into the Rattlesnake series on global which i'm looking forward to. Played every day from 1st of May to 7th before I flew here on the 8th. Got in 241 bullets in volume. Was down 3k very early in the month but ran good at the latter end of that week to be in a slight profit on the month overall. Looking to really close out the month strong when I get back. A few things to focus on:
Exercise
Sleep
Nutrition
Positive thoughts(in game especially)
Pre and post session routines
Recognize that after a week off from the tables that things will be rusty. Slowly get back into the grind. Play less tables at the start of my sessions for the first few days back.
Best score of the challenge so far:

Max late regged with 16 seconds left too. Wasn't even intending on firing it but I had a very low table count as I had just busted a few deep runs. Then checked the lobbies as I had time and saw it had less than 1 minute left in LR. Happy I fired it now 😀
Was top 3 in chips from 12 players down to final 5. Was chipleading the majority of that time. Then guy on my left won a huge pot to take over chiplead so I had to reign in the wider opens a little. I tested the waters early but he 3 bet me pretty quickly 😀 The player wasn't a reg at all but had some sense of icm and how to apply pressure. They did end up punting it off pretty hard though making some crazy loose calls. They weren't even calls in a chip ev spot not to mind ft icm. I lost a crucial flip with 5 left TT
Bustout hand I was in sb sittting 3/3 with 13bb. BTN Chipleader opened and I 3b jammed QJs. They snapped off A9o and I bust in 3rd. If I had won that all in I would have gone for a deal as we would all have been very close in chips. My ICM value would have been ~16k. MTT's are really sick that way. Been watching some of the HS streamers recently like Daniel Peterson and the swings he endures is just gross. This game is not for the faint hearted.
Delighted with the score and getting closer to that 100k mark:

Pattaya paddy strikes again. Good job brah
Just booked my flight to Vegas for the WSOP! Super pumped up to go and experience my first ever WSOP tournament. The old WSOP espn shows is what first got me into poker way back when I was a teen. Watching people like Doyle, Esfandiari, Ivey, Antonius, Greenstein, Gus Hansen, Negreanu, Harman and Hellmuth is how I first started to learn the rules of the game 😀
Have booked a 6 day trip but if I manage to bink a nice score I may stay longer. If not and I brick, it's all good. That's the attitude i'm going with anyways. Taking x% of my bankroll and it will not change my ABI whatsoever if I lose all that cash in Vegas once I return to the online streets. I'm way over rolled rn anyways for my ABI with over 1,100 buyins at my disposal. I know I can move up to a higher ABI rn but the games get tough once you get up to the 109's. I'd be in for a whole lot more variance and downswings. So for now i'm happy grinding out my niche where I feel comfortable and increasing the bankroll slowly. And who knows, maybe I can get lucky in Vegas and have a big score? Majority of the time it'll be a losing trip and that's fine. I may sell a small bit of action to some friends but i'm gonna take most of the action myself. Feeling confident rn and things have been going great. Hopefully the momentum continues
GL for your first trip! Have fun, I am excited for you ♥

Good luck mate rooting for you to find a deep run or 2!
Thank you!
Cheers man!
Vegas was a really fun trip. Was a major bucket list item to play at a WSOP event and I finally got to achieve that. I'm not gonna lie, I could have been a bit more professional in terms of my approach 😃 Prob had a few too many beers in the evenings and wasn't grinding out the 14 hour days like some of the other guys. But i'm ok with that. I had a couple of cashes in the smallest events I played which were the $250 daily at the wsop. Remember getting down to final 4 tables of one of them with like 30k+ up top. Also bubbled 3 off the money in a $400 100k gtd(was 160k in the end) at the mgm grand. That one stung as I was chipleader in that one for a couple hours. Got deep enough in an $800 100k at the Aria but couldn't win the flips at the latter end near the money. Played the $500 wsop collosus and a couple more.
I did manage to win some playing cash games which helped out the overall result. I lost just under $2,000. I'll take that for a live stop 😃 Had a couple deep runs with 30-50k up top. But live poker sample size is so small that I know i'm gonna be losing vast majority of mtt trips.
I could and probably should have fired more bullets and higher buyins. I likely will in the future. A lot of guys put up packages and sell a bunch. I will d othis next time I go to wsop. But for this trip I was just happy keeping it small and nitty and taking all my own action. The games are incredible.
Got a photo with the GOAT Phil Ivey which was cool. Also had a very nice chat with Andy Wilson aka Bowie Effect. Been watching his seminars and coaching vids on BBZ for over a year now and he is an absolute sicko. Such a friendly fella also. He was like "oh what games you playing mate? How's it goin today?" I said "going ok man just bust the $250 daily. How about you?" "Just bust the 100k super higher roller." LOLLL. He just said it so matter of fact and didn't seem to give a F. Was his highest buyin ever. He just bust it and yet he still stopped to chat away for a few mins. Dunno if I would be in the right headspace to be able to do that after busting such a high buyin.
All in all it was a great time. Met a bunch of cool people. Did some degening on the slots. Hung out by the pool in 40C weather without turning into toast. Ate some great food. Would definitely recommend a trip out there.
Biggest score of the challenge last Sunday. Binked the main event of the turbo series on global. Getting very close to the 100k milestone.
Untracked sites: down ~6k on GG but up on Club wptgold, coin and iggy to offset that. So just gonna stick with the tracked sites for this challenge.
Let's close this out strong

Awesome job dude. But would you mind reposting the graph since the start of challenge without the [$] boxes (significant wins markers) - It'll make it look a lot sexier.
Since coming back to online poker after Vegas, I have run extremely hot. 7 out of 9 winning sessions. Feel very lucky. It's been my lowest volume month of the year but it's been my best ever mtt month to date ($$ wise). Due to this rungood, I have crossed the 100k mark and have now completed the challenge. I have had a lot of fun during this challenge but now it's time to put it to bed.
