2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Went with a build I don’t normally make 3663
Obv didn’t need Stafford here and probably should’ve gone 2673
Allen, Dak, Stafford
Gibbs, Henderson, Tracy, Tuten, Sanders, Sampson
AJB, Adams, Pickens, Shakir, Pittman, Keenan
Kincaid, J Ferguson, Ertz
Yeah, I think WR instead of Stafford is correct. When I do 6 WRs, I really want all 6 to be drafted in rounds 8 or earlier, preferably with a first round WR and at least 3 in the first 4 rounds, if not 4. AJB, Adams, Pickens is a strong start, but I don't think Shakir, Pittman, Keenan is enough for the second half. Keenan does provide some asymmetrical upside opportunity, so he was probably the best late round WR you could pick for this build.
I don't pay too much attention to Pick'em lines, since I don't play. But the first 35 minutes of this episode was pretty enlightening.

Here are the players they went through/discussed.
Obviously, these are median projections and also don't factor in all fantasy counting stats.
RB rushing lines:
AJB - 1,124.5
Kyren - 1,024.5, rushing TDs - 11.5
CMC - 999.5, rushing TDs - 6.5, wtf?
Kaleb - 849.5
Brown - 849.5, rushing TDs - 5.5
Rhamondre - 724.5
Tracy - 724.5
TreVeyon - 699.5
Judkins - 649.5 - Yikes, Browns will probably be my lowest owned offense, cost adjusted.
Skattebo - 549.5
Warren - 524.5
Mike Williams - 499.5, hmm?
QB rushing lines:
Lamar -749.5
Fields - 649.5
WR/TE receiving lines:
DJM - 1,049.5
DK - 949.5
MHJ - 949.5, 6.5 TDs, interesting compared to McBride.
Rice - 924.5 - Oh boy
Jauan - 924.5
Jeudy - 924.5 - Lower
Kittle - 899.5, 6.5 TDs, SMASH
McBride - 899.5, 4.5 TDs, what?
Flowers - 899.5, 5.5 TDs
Worthy - 850.5 - Not as low as I expected.
Pearsall - 824.5 - Pretty nice, actually
Rome - 799.5
Some rookies
Bech - 649.5 - Na
Higgins - 624.5
Egbuka - 574.5 - Higher
Burden - 474.5 - Gross, I guess the UD line setters are way more into DJM/Rome
Yeah my plan was to take 7th wr over Sampson but the board ran out where my stacks were all gone and Sampson was there in the 18th well past ADP (which I know is less important that late), so I just clicked him as a last 2nd pivot
Maybe should’ve gone Turpin instead
How sharp are the UD over / under lines vs the books?
I think I have 1% Pearsall so I may have to start drafting him given the line. I’ve been trying to get a ton of DJM at cost given the negatives around burden
This was almost the perfect draft but I go sniped on Prescott. I didn't need Ward but he fell and I never mind having a third QB. I think Locket is gonna be that sneaky "washed: WR nobody wanted who has a solid year. Kind of like Thielen but probably not as robust.
Keenan Allen as my 7th WR is easy money.
Ekeler as my 6th RB is fantastic. He is once again under valued.
QB) Hurts, Goff, Ward
RB) Montgomery, Judkins, Warren, Williams, Guerrendo, Ekeler.
WR) CD, Higgins, Jameson, Emeka, Pierce, Lockett, Allen
TE) Mcbride, Goedert

I think I'd rather take Sampson than Turpin and still like that build being 6 RBs.
I'd imagine UD lines are pretty sharp, or else they'd get arbitraged by good bettors until they become sharp. But I haven't evaluated it.
Pearsall is a high variance play, but I am getting more and more bearish on Aiyuk. His injury sounds worse than originally reported, and he's a crazy loose cannon.
I think I prefer Kittle > Jauan > Pearsall > Aiyuk. I think I probably won't be clicking Aiyuk anymore until he's officially placed on PUP and falls at that point.
I'm still struggling with DJM. He's not as much of a diva as Aiyuk, but I also don't trust him to not get doghoused at some point, especially if Burden is showing something. I'm at around 6% DJM post-draft. He was my 7th highest WR pre-draft at 13%. DJM will likely look like a good play to start the season, but will it look like in w15-17?
Loveland has a pretty interesting line at 649.5 receiving yards. That's higher than Andrews (574.5), Engram (574.5), and Kraft (574.5). Kelce, LaPorta, and Njoku are at 699.5. Hock is at 724.5. Kincaid is at 599.5.
Hurts, Ward, Milroe, Rattler
Jeanty, Achane, Pollard, BRob, Shipley, Hill
AJB, Tet, DeVonta, Shakir, Kupp, Burdern, Ayo
Warren, Goedert, Juwan
That is a well balanced team.
Two Poodles. Which one do y'all like better?

Jayden, Stroud, AR
Saquon, JT, Kaleb, Guerendo, Tank
Reek, Pickens, Pearsall, Mooney, Kupp, Bateman, Kirk
Jonnu, Schultz, Higbee

Hurts, Mahomes
Monty, Jones, Etienne, Dobbins, Braelon, Brashard
JJ, Rice, Reek, DeVonta, Palmer, XL, Bryant
Warren, Juwan, Gray
Just realized i messed up the UD bonus. I deposited $500 @ 25% for a $125 bonus. I thought you only had 13 days to play through the full deposit + bonus, but you have 13 days to just play through the bonus and the bonus goes first
Just a heads up for anyone using it. You can put your full deposit for the season in and get 25% on that, assuming it doesn’t cross the max bonus threshold and you only need to play through the bonus amount in 13 days (you have to play through the rest but it’s not time constrained)

2nd one for me, I think. That TE room is gross though haha
Yeah, I misplayed the TE room on that one haha. Let’s go Warren!
Been trying to get more Purdy bc I realized I was more underweight than I meant to be
Purdy, Bryce, Ward
CMC, Kyren, Pollard, Skattebo, Sanders
AJB, Tet, Ridley, Olave, Aiyuk, Thielen, Lockett
Loveland, Goedert, Sanders
First Poodle
Mahomes, Geno, Dart
Gibbs, Chase, Tracy, Najee, Dowdle
Ladd, Worthy, Waddle, Meyers, Hollywood, Bech, Slayton, Keenan
LaPorta, Jonnu
Seems pretty good, maybe a little too weak at wr, but it could work
Yeah taking a WR over Jonnu or Najee is probably the play, but
I was planning on taking Tua, and Najee fell all the way to pick 126.
What a stupid team. I was kind of forced to pull up Tua at 121 after being sniped on Burrow and Kyler (both naked), and the guy in the 2 hole was on auto draft, so I was too worried that he would auto Tua at 143.
Fields, Tua, Rodgers
Hampton, Monty, Warren, Blue, Wright, James, Gordon
Chase, Tee, Waddle, Addison, Tre, QJ, Dyami, Roman
McBride, Otton
Think it ended up solid even with the sniping
Burrow, Geno, Bryce
Jacobs, Cook, Hampton, Mondre, Sanders
JJ, Tee, Meyers, Pittman, Kirk, Bech, Coker, ADM
Hock, Goedert
I like it!
The All-Florida Squad
Baker, TLaw
Bucky, Mixon, Pacheco, Blue, Bigsby, Shipley, James
Nico, Reek, Evans, Hunter, Egbuka, Coleman, Dyami, Ray Ray
Strange, Otton, Kmet
As long as a hurricane doesn't hit in week 17, you should be good haha. I like it.
Can you have too much stacking in SF?
Mahomes, Trevor, Dimes, Shough
Gibbs, JT, Cook, Wright, Mitchell, Neal
Worthy, Hunter, Shaheed, Mims, Hollywood, Pierce, Dyami
Kelce, Warren, Juwan
Hurricane season is over end of November. So we should be good to go!
I have a semi hot-take (I think at least)
I don’t think Josh Reynolds is that bad at football and is a decent 18th rd pick on fields teams.
He’s like the justice hill of WRs
I’ve been mixing both him and Lazard on Fields teams.
