Social Network is so good. Outside of Shakespeare in Love over Saving Private Ryan, I think King's Speech beating SN makes me most upset.
Newsflash: Mad Max is fictional and about as "real" as Star Wars.
It's still phenomenal, tho.
I will continue to rail against this younger generation of moviegoers who insist a movie isn't as good as it could be because what it portrays isn't realistic. 😀

I also have issues with films that show complete disregard for Newtonian physics.

that, however, doesn't preclude me from enjoying some really idiotically written movies that find no basis in reality... but those films better have something else intriguing going on though.

An impossible task to narrow it down, had a hard time leaving off Lost in Translation, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Wolf of Wall St, a bunch of others, but these ones were the ones that hit me the hardest and continue to years later. Both Kill Bills were top 5 theater experiences for me but I liked the second more. Interstellar has a crazy effect on me now since having a kid, because I see the world heading in that direction in one way or another. The Great Beauty and Hand of God are both in my top 10 of all time and No Country is THE perfect movie

I have 89. The one I recommend without reservation that I have a feeling most of you haven't seen is Toni Erdmann.

Uhg! I saw 73. None of them would make my personal top 100. That is one horseshit list. But it's gotta be since 2000 right (nothing old)? Anyway most of those movis are unwatchable dreck.

I counted ones I "tried" to watch and turned off before the end. Thats was about a quarter of the ones I tried. There were a few "good" ones but nothing that would make my personal top 100. Maybe Almost Famous. Maybe.

43 here, which surprised me. Even though I enjoy the movies, I don't get motivated to actually go much.
nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Superbad belongs everybody's top 10, yet I was surprised that it made this list at all.

I've seen 75. Of the top 30, the only one I'm missing is Phantom Thread. Looking forward to watching the ones I haven't seen.
