PokerGo snoozefest for the 2025 WSOP stream

Could PokerGo have created a more boring schedule to stream at this years WSOP? Looks like they are streaming 30 events,

That was not a choice.

They rotate tables

Are we really going to pretend that its 100% impossible to put certain people on stream?

They coulda threw 2 mics at dnegs and martin and went off phone video. This is the biggest ****ing month of the entire year for poker. Stop actively being the company with a monopoly on the coverage and shooting the game in the foot. If the NBA had a rule saying everyone on the teams needed to be equally shown to be fair and its 10 seconds left of the finals and they are showing the benches would you think at that point someone ****ed up or would you still be saying "well rules are rules bro!".

Lmao no one is shorting the game in the foot

It’s quite simple. They had two tables in play. To start off they choose what they think was most desirable, in this case it was the one with Khabrel and Schulman. Good choice imo, Schulman called Khabrel a poosy among other funny exchanges.

Then after the level they rotate the table. While it’s not a rule it’s obviously what is most fair.

Looking at this for 2 hours isn't fair.

Life ain’t fair but that was Khabrel Schulman table and I’m happy they chose it.

Me too. Why are you moving the goal posts?

Why couldn't they show the Schulman+Khabrel table and the Dnegs+Khabrel table?

Isn't what happened unfair to Vogelsang since him and his cards aired more then the other players cards since he was at both of those tables?

(I just wanna be clear I like Vogelsang and respect his right to cover up and play however he wants since its his money but I disagree with who PokerGo is choosing to put on air)

Lol “moving the goal posts” has zero meaning in this context. I’m just informing you what they do. People love their zingers though.

Anyway again, it’s quite simple:

1) There are two tables and they start with one of their choice
2) After every level they switch to other table.

Yes, sometimes a certain person gets unlucky/lucky in that they miss or get more often. That’s just how it goes.

Negreanu is at the final table of the 2.5K mixed big bet. I wish they would televise that. Would like to see PL 2-7 TD and NL 5cd high. I guess it is at the same time as the $10K PLO, which I also want to see but not as much. NLHE final tables are boring. Either amateurs at lower stakes or human bots at high stakes. Not sure if they televise 2 final tables at the same time.

Are they not streaming the PLO 100 k at all? Wow.

It’s time to often do two telecasts

They often do multiple telecasts now except it’s stuff like the twentieth installment of $100/$200 nlhe cash game at Venetian hosted by JRB.

Fantsstic. They are about to negin streaming the 2.5k big bet, because negreanu is 3rd of 5.

I am not going to watch it witjout hole cards.

I am not going to watch it witjout hole cards.

Especially since they weren’t good announcers. They just set up cameras and one guy talking about playpokergo freerolls

Not starting Main Event coverage until 7 p.m. at night is criminal. We need the Triton people to get the WSOP rights.

Would get big views; even more big names than the PPC. Haxton, Deeb, Foxen, and Ivey in the final 7 to play today. Are they really not going to show it? I guess conflicts with Day 1B of Main Event.

Donnie Peters is the worst commentator that they have. All he does is talk to the YouTube chat and talk about freerolls. It would be better to just not have commentary at all since he doesn't seem to actually care about the poker.

I emailed them and told them to show the $100K PLO final table.

Pokernews says it will stream at some point today but doesn't say when.

Are all of the PokerGO streams on YouTube also on the PokerGO app?

Yes afaik but not all of PokerGO is on YouTube

They're streaming the 100k plo at 5:45 pacific.

If they have the ability to record both events with hole cards at the same time, which they obviously do, why aren't they streaming both separately

Because the majority of viewers don’t care about the 100k PLO. A couple poker nerds are having a fit while 99% of the viewers don’t care. I turned off the main coverage because it’s not entertaining but I’m also not the average poker viewer. No one outside of hardcore poker players knows who Sean Deeb is.

It’s pretty wild that people still don’t understand that for better or worse, WSOP is desperately trying to appeal to the average Joe. Last year the big draw was the fat man who likes to play 32o. People want to see idiots winning big money because that’s the tournament poker dream.

They get way more views showing high stakes PLO and mixed games final tables with big names than they do showing big field NLHE with randoms. A high percentage of the people paying for pokergo subscriptions are at least for profit players or at least more than casual viewers. That final table was mostly big names, and everyone with a subscription knows who Ivey is.

They need to automatically televise all the high stakes events and some like $10K NL 2-7 single draw which always get big names at the final tables. The high stakes NLHE final tables are less interesting with all the GTO nerds saying nothing, tanking all the time, etc., and with less big names, but more players who recently got good playing like a computer.

No one outside of hardcore poker players knows what pokergo is.

People watch poker for the personalities over everything else. What game is being played has some effect but isnt the biggest factor. PokerGo has had terrible coverage its entire existance.
