i think we all agree that he does punch above his weight but if you saw that couple walking down the street you wouldn't be like "omg how is that possible" you wouldn't even notice so it's not like it's something extreme
and let's be real, none of those women would be able to attract a top of the range single male for the long haul - our resident old hot guy feel wrath may root them after a few drinks at the bar, but he'd never settle down into a relationship with them because he has much better options - so while those women could all do better than trooper, that level of better is still trooper adjacent
toss in his vlog and the fact there's a decade old thread of people obsessed with him and you can see how that gives him a bit of cachet which other slightly smarter, slightly nicer, and slightly better looking men do not offer
also he appears to be a narcissist - i have never watched a video of his beyond brief clips but based on what the thread says this something i don't think many would disagree with

i also found it insane that she accompanies him while grinding slots - not to find her own but rather to help him as a spotter and then watch results with him - one of the more soul and time sucking fates i could ever imagine in life - this level of co-dependence where you do everything together to control and dominate your partners life so you are all your partner has and thus has nothing else and no support structure to leave you for is super common

I think one reason people are surprised he punches above his weight is he lives a boring life too (despite being a YouTuber). He didn’t even want to watch the Super Bowl. Being his gf means going to Costco is one of the most exciting things that will happen.
The poster mentioning him eating at high end places was saying things that make sense logically, but that’s just not the way he does things. He prefers pizza and burger places.
