maybe the coaching is going to help me..

Talking with someone knowledge about your game is always positive.
How much a coach would cost for player who plays +200nl?

it's a guy who charges a percentage of the profit... I don't know what percentage yet, I'm in the middle of an application process with this guy. It depends what percentage he is asking as to whether I will agree to it. Maybe 20% is fair? I don't know...

So if I don't win, I don't pay him apparently... which is really great Recently I'm not really winning... Lost a bit at 100PLO6... and I'm at my monthly stoploss of 12k, so I can't really play high anymore for 3 more days... have to drop down to 50PLO6 to deal with the loss limit... roll at 47814

47354, really at the bottom of my loss limit now...

How its going?

The last couple of days I was at the bottom of my loss limit so I could only play low stakes.. played anything from 10PLO6 to 200PLO6, but kept losing... finally it's a new month today and my loss limit has been reset, so I can play my regular stakes again. I played 4 tables of 200PLO6, but lost a bit more... roll at 46759... so I almost lost 25% since my highpoint of 61K, pretty sick downswing.. feeling pretty lost playing actually... but in 2 days I have my first meeting with someone who is going to be coaching me, possibly. So let's see if he can turn the downswing around...

Okay, so that was weird, the coach decided to reject my application. I don't know why, everything was alright, but he asked for social media, and after he saw my facebook he decided to reject my application to his mentorship program... Weird as hell, but what can I do?

U know that 5cardguy is 2year deal?
And no way u would start at 80%/20% for your piece.
GL man and take a little break. I think u are thinking way too much how much u have lost lately. Drop table count and think every decision u make. Don't autopilot!

I probably would have negotiated that, but it's all moot now. Maybe we wouldn't have come to an agreement anyway.

How do you know? What is a usual percentage in CFP?

Drop table count and think everything through is a good advice, thanks.

I think common CFP deal is 50/50.
But 5cardguy said to one Finnishplayer that 6card CFP deal is much better for players (?)
And i know because there were an interview (on finnish) where some Finnish player hype about 5cardguy (The interview seemed like he have some affiliate% If he brings more Finnishplayers to the stable)
He also said that The coach is very good friend of him nowadays and how he changed his life. If you make 10k/month and paying lets say 30% of 10hours of coaching per week (i don't know the numbers exactly) in a week it's pretty big money. Im sure you could find a better coach let's say 200$/Hour.

Happy 4th of July, gl to you this holiday weekend.

Thanks Kevmode, although I'm not located in the USA, so we don't celebrate 4th of july over here.

I made a radical decision to cash out and play low stakes tourneys. Recently I've been quite tilted, not playing well at all in the 6 card PLO. The coach rejecting me was also quite a tilting thing. But I haven't played well at PLO6 in a long time, so deciding to give that a rest and try to run it up playing tourneys again.... I cashed out 10k, which was the maximum. Over the next couple of days I will cash out 40k and start again at the bottom, playing tourneys.

Even if the last month has been far from ideal, you still had very good results overall, Congrats!

If mental is the issue, maybe going to psychotherapist would help (I think you can afford it).

I was able to cash out 40k today... So my roll is 5322. excited to run it up again via tourneys

roll at 4954, bought into the 108 a couple of times, goes fast.. .

kind of UL in the heads up again... lose a lot of heads up recently... unfortunate...

roll 5394

There is nothing wrong with cashing out and moving down in stakes. You are a strong player who is self aware. Being able to be honest with yourself and keep plugging along is a great asset to your game. It is ok to set aside ones ego to do what is best for you current situation and there is no shame in that.

Thanks bro, I feel good about the decision...

Played tournaments today. no big scores.. roll at 5022

roll 5597

roll at 5556 but still in a tourney and registered for a few expensive ones this evening, so freerolling the evening

did u somehow know about 6 card omaha before it was a big thing or even invented? ur username is a 6 card PLO hand and u joined in late 2010.

haha no, I explained somewhere earlier in this thread where the name comes from.. my favorite hand K2, the best NLHE hand AA and the worst. it's just 3 juxtaposed NLHE hands from when I played mostly NLHE... I discovered 5 and 6 card last year only.

damn.. second again... the heads up really went back and forth.. last hand got it in 60% favorite, but flushdraw came in... before that i also got lucky a few times... could have gone either way... oh and we chopped 5 handed... too bad about the HU :'(
