Yeah, it is disheartening and disgusting that they can do this. Just trying to get the info out to protect future users now. New to this forum, did I post in the right Chat?

I would actually prefer they hold your guys’ money for an investigation (you both live in the same house, play the same MTTs). Would be worth taking the time to comb through this HHs and check to make sure there was no chip dumping or squeezing 3rd party’s.

This is 100% standard and with your husband being paid and not you I imagine you will also be paid out soon as they would have held both prizes hostage, imo.

This is a net positive and im glad they are at least investigating player pools for collusion and MA

Moving forward, never play the same mtt again within the same household while also using the same IP address/location. This is a standard investigation and shockingly they caught it. They will always in this case assume collusion until they prove otherwise. I know this sucks if in fact you are innocent but this kind of cheating happens daily online. That is why this process is in place. I hope you get your money after the investigation concludes

You should be happy they caught this otherwise what's the point of any security. The fact that something was triggered at all is good. If they do their investigation and pay the OP then nothing really is lost but time

I agree that we want the site to have security measures in place that prevent collusion. However, we definitely do want to create an environment where individuals winnings are being confiscated left and right because they potentially could have known a table mate in an MTT and not taken part in any collusion at all. The thing with our situation is, we play some MTTs together and play some separate, rarely are we ever at the same table, solely due to how large the fields are. For this particular tournament, we were not even at the same location. I was at our house and my husband was gone at somebody completely different house. With that, we were not flagged based on IPs from that night. I think when I requested the withdraw they conducted a security check and realized that the two accounts had previously been tied to maybe the same IP or WiFi in the past (which they were because we share a home) and flagged the account then. All of the previous times the accounts were tied to the same IP/WiFi we lost significant amounts of money in MTTs so that is probably why it was not an issue then. Only an issue when you win I guess!

It seems like they are only investigating at the point of winning which means they are just trying to avoid payouts lol. If these 2 playing together was a problem then that should have been identified and dealt with much earlier. They seem very shady to me

That is what I find extremely funny and ironic. The fact that it was proven there was collusion in the WSOP and they are boasting on twitter about “keeping their word” and paying it out, but then are holding my 8k payout hostage lol.

I guess that is how they can afford to pay some millions!

I understand your frustration.....I would feel the same if it were my money. Some sites don't even allow two accounts using the same address (not sure if that is the case here). There actually should have been a trigger on sign up. It all depends on each site and their terms and conditions. If you know you didn't do anything wrong then I don't see any reason you won't get your money. The only way I could see them keeping it is if the terms say you can't have 2 accounts in the same house or if they prove you colluded. You should be fine otherwise

The live collusion was a WSOP event with a WPT promo attached and the WPT wanted that publicity. You can't really compare your case to that. To use extremes if one person gets away with murder that doesn't mean all people should get away with it lol. That isn't the way life works......thankfully

Funny update: they will not pay my winnings and my account is a “security concern” but it let me make a deposit and register for more tournaments no problem at all lol. Did a small deposit as a test.

Your whole situation seems really sus on the surface. Actually impressed clubwpt security is actively looking at situations like this. Hopefully their process and investigation yields the truth.

Them not paying out this lady first place just cause they live in the same house and have separate accounts is against their own TOS and stated rules. This company should pay her out immediately or she should open a lawsuit that takes into consideration damages as well and report this to the FTC so they can be aware and investigate the site for this and other violations not only of US sweepstakes laws, gaming, and money transmitter laws.

Here is where in their terms and conditions it blatantly states they can change the odds for any sweepstakes or game at any time and it is up to the user to always check. Weird how they only spread p2p poker and do not post odds of winning anywhere to begin with.. how can they know or change the odds of winning if they are using an RNG? Hint: they dont use an rng and the entire site is run off of poorly coded algorithms so they can manipulate outcomes as they want. Its stated right there in their terms and if you do diligence on the software and companies out there to help facilitate these outcomes the picture becomes very clear. a5labs is their main partner in operating the actual games. thats a good place to start looking.

People need to stop defending this company blindly. They are not owned or operated by the WPT. The WPT solely and purely issued Grand Cru Concepts LTD a license to use their name on their platform. This is a shady off shore company based in Cyprus that does not have a certified RNG, refuses to provide one or say that they even use one (they do not), and has literally no support or dev team to boot. Its been 4 months the site is live, they have made no updates what so ever to anything. They mirrored the browser into a client for multi table and then the entire team went to Vegas for the summer and shut down.

This site is a joke and a money grab where if it works thats great if not they are maximizing every dollar they can peel now.

Could you please post the url of the T&C? It's often very important to read the entire T&C rather than just a snippet so that definitions, etc, are understood.

I tried a quick Google and found a remarkably similar clause at another (non-poker) site:

b) Only Fun Coupons can be redeemed for Prizes.

so it may be just a copy/paste clause that is necessary on a "supposedly" Sweepstakes site, but not necessarily entirely applicable nor particularly relevant to any provided poker games.

There is no direct link to the full T&C it is only a link on the bottom of their home page that pops up as a dead browser window or the same function once you sign in. Scroll to the bottom and feel free to click terms and conditions and read it entirely, I know every word in it thoroughly. They only offer texas hold em so there are no other games this statement can pertain to and if they werent changing or manipulating anything it would not be stated in their terms like that.

In a 110 ticket satellite, 11 buyin, and the math ain't mathin... 80 entries should equal 880 in the prize pool. It says 561 and there aren't enough tickets being paid out, 5 110s and one 11 (561). Should be 8 110s. This is legitimately shady, if not just a ridiculous and infuriating glitch.

i don't play there so unsure if i'm reading it wrong but your math assumes no rake and it says there are 3 rebuys (that feels low so idk if that's for just you or for everyone)

Something to do with the 5 Guaranteeds? 5*110 = 550, with 11 for luck?

In my previous exp playing MTTs on this site, that rebuy category showing 3 isn’t counting total of rebuys made in this event. That 3 rebuys means any single player can rebuy (reentry) up to 3 times.

The lobby screenshot unfortunately doesn’t show the buy-in being $11 SC but the prize pool does look nerfed since there are 80 total entries shown.

Yes correct, I did not account for the $1 rake. It was a 10+1 buyin. So should have been an 800 prize pool, 7 tickets with a few leftover 11s. At that same time in the Prizes tab it only showed 5 110 tickets. I have no idea why this happened but it's not inspiring confidence.

Adding to the glitch theory the rebuy countdown timer wasn't working, said 0:00:00 the whole time. Finally a pop up informed it was at the end of rebuy stage. It would be nice if Club WPT Gold took notice of and fixed this. I've been pretty active there but future play is in jeopardy.
