[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
I don’t think people appreciate how often people just randomly punt, especially online. They get bored. Something is happening IRL. They get steamed at something else and go berserk. I see this all the time at final tables.
I have 27k hands and my stats are still updating. I loosened up a little bit in certain spots recently and my VPIP rose a single percentage after a few days of play.
Can also corroborate that I've seen some insane punting from players with reasonable stats. The other day I saw a 30/22 player (loose, but not exceptionally so) stacking off for a full buy-in with any two cards pre-flop and then re-buying to do it again and again. I played back-to-back hands against him where he called my 4bet jam with 32s and then where he 4bet jammed himself with Q8o (I had AQs and AA in both and held
).
Hard to know what's going on. Could be someone is tilted from another table, or maybe they are just drunk.

Thereβs a 100% certainty that there are bots on the site. People arenβt talking about random punts lmao.
Not only are there bots, but recent developments seem to support the idea that there has been an introduction of a massive number. At lower stakes, if they play simple GTO it's gonna be a bloodbath on that player pool that even a twisted algo wouldn't be able to compensate. This place is a dumpster fire.
By the way, this is not an indictment of the overall WPT brand, or some of the individuals shilling for the site. It is an indictment of a fly by night international operator and the dopes at WPT that let its good name get licensed out to shady scumbags. Hopefully some people like Doug are beginning to the see the light and are able to exit before their reputation is stained further.
The site has obviously been loaded up with bots since the start. Aside from the obvious behaviors, the volume of players has never made any sense.
I’ve played 127k hands on there.. and it hasn’t felt at all like you guys insist. There are a couple accounts with astronomical amounts of hands (like 375k, suspicious). And one player who I’m a little skeptical of based on a little weird behavior that I haven’t played with lately.
But I’ve been a pro for 20 years and been cheated a few times.. so I’m not ignorant to the possibility of things not being on the up and up.. in my experience it doesn’t feel like the shadiness that’s being insinuated.
anybody else have issues with the software constantly crashing i downloaded the software to multitable on my laptop, and whether i'm playing 1, 2 or 4 tables it inevitably crashes at least 2x every session. sometimes if i notice it's stalled quick enough i can close it out and reboot in time to get my hands back, but a lot of times i don't. it's insane to have a site crash this
Mine does not crash but I get disconnected pretty much every 30 minutes or so. It is normally only for a few seconds but I time out in a hand maybe once every few hours because it doesn't load back in time. The most annoying part of it is that it brings all the tables back to their original size and not in the order I had them. I wish they would fix their servers with all this new money from the hole card view feature.
Also it is pretty funny that you can pay to see the cards even if you are just viewing the table. Might be the first time in history a site has raked people who aren't even sitting at the table.
Iβm based in NY, so dont play on there anymore. When I did, it was 75,000 hands of hu at mostly 5/10 and 10/20. Never saw anything shady. You guys claiming otherwise sound like conspiracy theorists. Maybe games have changed since the NY ban, but none of the HU regs were bots, and I never saw anything fishy from random fish who sat me. A couple times, a player new to the site sat me, and it was clear they were very competent, but I see no reason to assume they were bots or somehow affiliated with the site. And for those of you questioning their solvency/payouts: to ensure I got my funds before the NY ban, they expedited over $75k in withdrawals in the span of a week. Truly incredible customer service, especially for someone who would no longer be able to even play on the site. If you can still play on there, consider yourself lucky and stop bemoaning small things that are ultimately trivial in EV terms.

yeah, honestly anybody claiming this site is anything other than amazing is a fuggin moron. there are things they could improve on but this place is an oasis that needs to be appreciated for the time being.
I get it, you want your golden goose. Complaints on 2+2 could be written off as "morons" or they could gain traction, who knows sometimes. I profited almost 10k in a few months but, for what I consider very legitimate reasons, this was the site that finally pushed me back to playing live. If you're continuing to print good for you and continued good luck, I just don't see this one sticking around for long.

Iβve profited a ton from the site but can still recognize shady parts. No one is saying the bots are good and winning loads of money from regs. I donβt think liquidity bots would be deployed at high stakes heads up tables.

What recent developments?
I've probably said enough. At the end of the day I left, you continue to print apparently, and we will soon see if this is a viable long-term business model and legit US poker option or not. I do wish you well there.
(Puts on tin foil hat) - can you tell me now? Or will I just get more vague statements? If there are bots, Iβd like to know. I just have seen 0 evidence.

The people whining have to just be retarded. Easiest site on planet Earth and it's not really close
Anyone from NJ get a cash out this week? I requested one last Saturday and haven't gotten anything, usually wouldve gotten it by now. Also never redirected an email that's sweepstakes was banned in NJ, found out about it here.

Why would they have to deploy liquidity bots or any bots for that matter at HSHU? You guys are already paying an inordinate amount of rake and the max gets churned just about every single hand. They have no incentive to try to maximize this game it is already maximized and deploying a house or liquidity bot is the absolute fastest way for them to expose themselves.
I am 100000% certain they are populating the ring games and tourneys with liquidity/house bots and pure stealing from the player pools. They use a5labs.co to run and operate their games. They openly state that they use ai bots that learn how to play against you in the first 1000 hands and then can dynamically change while at the tables. This is not to police the games this is to steal from the players. This site will not exist in more than 12 months and I am 10000000% certain this is going to be just as big of a stain on poker that black friday was when everything is exposed.
Hell even Monarch on the live stream for those huge HU matches vs Jungle was openly saying all the operators do these things and specifically you should not trust anyone that does nto give you HHs. That is just a side caveat of an operator actually speaking out. I get it he wants to promote duel but also they dont offer poker so what is he trying to gain from that?
To the person asking about cashouts from people in NJ - not only was the site banned in NJ but I have read that the payment processors in NJ were banned thats why they gave a 3 pm deadline with 15 total hours notice. There is a non zero chance NJ residents never get paid.
These are just the first dominos. Cali will ban and there are 11 other states in lieu ready to pass bills as well as follow up federal bills to ban offshores and sweepstakes models. If you think "clubwptgold" aka "Grand Cru Concepts Ltd - based in Cyprus" does not know this legislation is coming down the line and they are just scamming/money grabbing to the max then I have multiple bridges in Brooklyn to sell you.
What other site can you play on where someone 200BB deep cold 3bets a 987r flop w Q2s and snap calls it off for the entire $400 (of course they hit the running flush though). If you can ride out the variance this is the easiest site in the world.
This other guy at the table has played 133,000 hands as a 44/14.
With the success of ClubWPT and app games Im really surprised the main stream sites have not adapted and made 8 max with 3 blinds the standard format for cash games.
It is obvious recs live and online prefer full ring tables and not short handed in 2025. When games get short handed on clubwpt and on 6 max games on regulated sites the games immediately break.
8 handed is also way healthier in terms of bum hunting and longevity of games.
Where did you get the 15 hour cash out window in NJ from? Like I said, I never received anything from WPT, just saw on here that a bill was signed banning sweepstakes

What was your user? I have noticed a handful of HU regs drop off all of a sudden and wondered if it was due to the NY and NJ announcements.

really agree with all of this. it makes the action kinda insane and i think regs and fish alike enjoy that. and yeah, no one likes to feel like the game breaks the second they get up, which is what always always always happens in any 6max game 1/2 and above. with these 8 max tables the action just keeps movin rather than the whole table breaking. i've only played 35k hands on the site but man i love it. reminds me of stars '03 days, holy shit.
Just another day when AA gets cracked 3 times to a weaker pair that jams pre flop with over 70bb. It just doesn't male sense how often I see it in MTT and ring. The fact that you get no hand history, no way to see who the winning players are or any other info to track what is going on has to be more than we are a new sight. Internal bots or a fixed outcome on these hands with no RCG has to be the case.

For all ClubWPT does wrong (which arguably is a whole lot) they get some of the most important factors right.
1. Marketing to recs
2. Making recs feel like they are playing real live poker. No advanced huds, databases, etc.
3. Make recs feel like they have a chance in games and aren’t being hunted. (Loose high vpip 8 handed straddle games)
4. Keeping pool fenced requiring proof of tax info so it’s harder for euro grinders and pro stables to get on and ruin the ecosystem.
And really that’s all that matters.. because as we’ve seen regs will come no matter what if the games are soft. Recs don’t give a sh*t about rake, rakeback, leaderboards etc and if recs keep showing up regs shouldn’t care either.
