2025 World Series of Poker May 27th - July 16th
can we have a list of all the notable players still left in?
I have:
Greg Raymer, Phil Hellmuth, Jonathan Tamayo, Johnny Chan, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman,
who else?
Wayyyy too many to list still.
The most well-known players with chips from my 50 sweats are high roller regs Adrian Mateos, Stephen Chidwick, luckychewy, and Chance Kornuth.
Kornuth is notable because, IIRC, he was down to 10-15k early on day 1D. Bagged 44.5k at the end of the night. Started today with 313.5k. Nice spin up.
Greg Raymer, Phil Hellmuth, Jonathan Tamayo, Johnny Chan, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman,
Josh Arieh, Vloggers Brad Owen Andrew Neeme Ryan DePaulo Doug Polk Ashley Frank
Kassouf is like top 5 in chips, Obst, Jo Cheong, Josephy, Nate Silver, Elias, Yockey
Ebony Kenney, Ike Haxton
Adrian Mateos, Stephen Chidwick, luckychewy, and Chance Kornuth.
ok
Yes, this is how WSOP has been doing the payout jumps for almost all their events. The jumps occur one position after a table is broken, so that the βpayout jump bubbleβ occurs when all tables have an even number of players. Note this is -not- the case for the actual bubble, which is as near as possible to 15% of the field.
That is an interesting way of doing it. I haven't followed wsop payout structures in years, so I suppose they could have been doing this for multiple years now. It just caught me off guard since it isn't at all how it used to be done. Thanks for the information.
The crazy part is that (as I recall) there was a dead ace and a dead king. So that turn K was a longshot by itself. When that hand becomes part of the highlight reel, I don't know if they'll even show the entirety of preflop, so the runout won't look as cool.
i like the cut of the jib of this Pat Lyons cat
It's pretty amazing that in 6 years(?) Kassouf hasn't been able to add any other little sayings to his catalog. Just the same 3-4 sayings over and over like a moron
so who is left now? I heard Tamayo, Negreanu and Helmuth were eliminated
Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman,
Josh Arieh, Vloggers Brad Owen Andrew Neeme Ryan DePaulo Doug Polk Ashley Frank
Kassouf is like top 5 in chips, Obst, Jo Cheong, Josephy, Nate Silver, Elias, Yockey
Ebony Kenney, Ike Haxton
Adrian Mateos, Stephen Chidwick, luckychewy, and Chance Kornuth.
Having two active threads for the stream watchers is lame, gonna just commit to this one only.
RIP Doug Polk's main event

no Doug Polk anymore
i think this just proves people only care about players who go out of there way to make big deal about htmeselves. lets be honest these other players need to do more to promote intrest in poker, its insane how few people are .
What's wrong with wanting people I KNOW to go deep in the main event? Some of the best WSOP's were when people like Matusow, Greg Raymer, Ivey, D-Negs made deep runs. otherwise they are boring and unmemorable.
mic drop.
Raymer just busted..
Jennifer Harman, Liv Boeree, Damian Salas, Jason Mercier, Michael Mizrachi,
Josh Arieh, Vloggers Brad Owen Andrew Neeme Ryan DePaulo Ashley Frank

Heβs not saying there isnβt anything wrong with it, heβs making the point that there are not a lot of younger players creating interest in game
Viktor Blom has just under a mill in chips, filed straight into the things I love to see folder.
i have a confession to make. i should have admitted this long, long ago. but i was in denial. and i hurt myself and my family and my (poker) community in the process. i am no longer ashamed of this fact. i will own it, from now on. i will boast it proudly, whenever and wherever I may go:
i absolutely love will kassouf.
