In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and diff

If we can’t land a compelling a6 soon, maybe we just go with tomato and move on to the next game. Unless you’ve got a thought other than another nightshade plant.

Yeah, it’s the maybe that’s key. People have pulled some crazy **** out of seemingly thin air in this game - its terrifyingly impressive sometimes. But, even if we would know it if it were clued, it could be tough the discern from just the letter-number combo.
I’m currently growing around 40 tomato plants across nine different varieties. I’m annoyed that I can’t think of an a6 other than acidic, haha.
i'd probably yolo something other than tomato. just seems like they'd have more ideas
but i don't have anything great either

A shadowfax should also be pretty close to a sure thing if the guessers know what it is, and acidic doesn’t do that.
Tomatoes are mostly grown as annual plants, but annual isn’t specific enough to nail tomato.
They’re native to the Andean region, but lots of stuff is, and I doubt D1iab would think “oh, Andean! They’ll definitely get that’s tomato.”
They were cultivated by Aztecs, but again, that’s not a shadowfax and better clues approx nine billion words before tomato.

was thinking pumpkin because of apple/pumpkin pie, but who knows really
i'd prob do squash/pumpkin over zucchini
Oh hey, the pie angle is interesting given a5. I agree pumpkin is much more likely on the target list than zucchini. I’m good with pumpkin.

Is it pepper? Annuum capsicum is a pepper plant. But we already had pepper. Chili?

yeah, we had pepper by itself back in January so bell pepper now without s for stuffed was pretty hopeless
you got close but ruled out pepper due to having it before
I guess if we tried annuum you may have guessed a pepper like chili pepper, jalepeno pepper or bell pepper, so maybe it woulda worked
Well ****. I completely stopped thinking about peppers because pepper was already cleared. Not saying we would’ve definitely gotten there, but would’ve had a shot. What a kick in the tomatoes.
Had we gone with pepper, we definitely would’ve done a two-word guess. Probably would’ve been between bell pepper and chili pepper.
I thought we got rid of the 2-word answers so that we wouldn't tempt any more penguin seagull guesses.
they are rare but in there
we just don't do impossible guesses like penguin seagull; your guess has to be possible
so heirloom tomato, tomato vine, tomato soup woulda been fine to guess here
but tomato pepper, tomato seagull would not
(actually, apparently there is a Hungarian tomato pepper so I guess tomato pepper is possible, though would never be on the list)
Wow this one was so difficult I even had the target word sent to me and I still didn't know what it was!

And yeah, I was worried you would avoid bell pepper because we've had pepper before. Also seems less likely to be on the list than other stuff.
