2025 World Series of Poker May 27th - July 16th
Finally saw the clip of Leo's bustout. Pretty punty. The cry call praying for a flip, sprint to the rail can't watch Meh. Looked like she hated the hand when she picked it up. Wonder if there's a GTO case to just folding, saving 2.5% of your stack, and seeing what you pick up on the button.Great run, but she had seven orbits left. The draw really did hurt her as she's probably
You want to open fold A10 suited when it's folded to you in the sb ?
"Wonder if there's a GTO case to just folding, saving 2.5% of your stack, and seeing what you pick up on the button." was the quote which I guess isn't "advocating" it but thinking in any universe just straight folding ATs when folded to you in the SB on a 20BB stack with no microstacks is an option is yeaaahhhh.
Is anyone gonna say f it and still try to win or they going to let Mike blind them down all the way. I know he won a big tourney prior, but from what’s been shown Dunaway is the least impressive player I’ve seen
It was late last night so I probably wasnÂ’t clear.
ItÂ’s a snapshove for her with ATs when itÂ’s folded to her in the SB and a big stack in the BB. I agree with those who think she was planning a limp-shove. She got in big trouble doing that with AA in the SB the previous day.
As someone pointed out, shoving puts the pressure on Kenny, and heÂ’s going to fold 66 some times, and also call with worse aces some times.
When Kenny blew up her super sneaky clever fancy plan with a shove, itÂ’s an easy fold imo in this once in a lifetime situation, I donÂ’t care what the eight hours a day study charts say. There is no way the double up is worth going broke in 7th on a 49-51 flip.

WTF
Yeah I seem to remember grinder having some controversy 10 years ago or maybe that was his brother
MM ran into some tax trouble about 15 years back, but I don't know if that's something you'd refer to as a "controversy." There were accusations Robert was involved with handing out fake vaxx cards during COVID or something.
lol at Kenny calling off worse aces for 20x jam but also somehow her limp calling ATs is a punt. Somehow I bet if the river wasn't a spade, now all of a sudden she's a genius and Kenny punted.

ICM calculator would show it easy and I’d be interested in results. I would assume though that she’s something like a 55% against the shove range though
Wouldn’t have minded just having her shove to begin with though

been busto and super busto, at some point signed a deal with a poker site, while still having a deal with another poker site and got sued over that. In other words by poker pro standards he's an outstanding citizen.

LOL. Schulman said it was a call right away. You yourself indicate that the solver says it's a call. You insist that it's an easy fold. Hmmm. Whom to believe...?
The sun running complaining is hilarious. Y'all are so salty. Luck is the result of design, and Mizrachi has plenty of design in how he builds his stack to fully take advantage of the "luck" when it hits. He wins a lot of pots without showdown most players wouldn't. He gets value in a lot of spots most wouldn't. He makes big folds in a lot of spots most wouldn't. He accum
It's both. And you're right people have a habit of only looking at the hand at the worst possible point of the suckout. So they say it was a 3 outer not a 30/70. But all the great play in the world doesn't matter if any one of dozens of hands go differently which is totally out of his control.
He definitely plays a style that allows him to go deep, it's nice frankly to see a guy having success playing street poker and getting people out of their element but he also has been extremely fortunate. This is what happens when you get the perfect storm.

You are not comprehending what he is saying, he’s admitting he would take the chip EV hit to avoid taking the spot where he’s out of the tournament around 45% of the time.

Yea she was definitely going for the limp shove.

She's 53% against a range of 99-22, AQs-A2s, KTs+, QTs+, A9o+, KJo+. She needs roughly 46% to break even chips-wise. I'm assuming Kenny is never jamming TT+. Obv if he's jamming worse offsuit aces this helps her, and same if he's ripping some suited kings in the bluff range.

Limp calling a 20 BB shove here will be +EV in $ value as well. End of day, ATs vs 66 with 20 BBs is a cooler with only one stack moderately shorter than you, even with FT ICM, if you're not getting 20 BBs in with those hands, you're a nit who is going to be exploited like crazy. Yes, she could just shove herself but in long run it is unlikely to result in substantially different outcomes (I think Kenny is calling 66 there).
You just gotta win your all-ins to win a poker tournament. Grinder was going to be 7th place getting his money in as a 30/70 favorite and sucked out. It is what it is.
She should’ve shoved the ATs. She should’ve folded to Kenny’s shove still having seven orbits left in a once in a lifetime situation, I don’t care what the eight hours a day study gizmos say.
Going for a limp-shove against a big stack (especially one who’s obviously played against you a lot; really unlucky seat draw) SBvBB is FPS, and it nearly got her bounced the day before doing it with AA v Dunaway in the blinds. Sorry for not making that clear, it was late.
With perfect hindsight and knowledge of how it would play out, would you rather still be in four-handed down 15-1 to Grinder or flip down 49-51 to either bust in 7th or still be in down 5-1 to Grinder?
And yes, as it turns out she should’ve ultranitted from the start. She’d still be in.

You are not comprehending my post where I’m indicating to someone that they are not comprehending someone else’s
Everyone agrees calling the shove is +chip EV

Oh and here I thought he was saying he would fold. But it turns out what he’s saying is he wouldn’t call. Thank you for clarifying.
Dunaway might wait for Hallaert... getting the 1M ladder is worth more than doubling to 40M.
Waz, handcuffed, 6M in sight. Needs to be ready to adapt based off the first few orbits.
If they played to a winner last night I think Grinder wins 98/100.
Today is a different day though.

Grinder wins 130/100 in under 40 minutes had they played it out last night. He had Hallaert stone read, took about 90% of his stack with worse hands & the max out with the two pair. Brilliant, suckouts or no suckouts.
