2025 World Series of Poker May 27th - July 16th
She should've shoved the ATs. She should've folded to Kenny's shove still having seven orbits left in a once in a lifetime situation, I don't care what the eight hours a day study gizmos say.Going for a limp-shove against a big stack (especially one who's obviously played against you a lot; really unlucky seat draw) SBvBB is FPS, and it nearly got her bounced the day before doi
We have no idea how it plays out if she wins the flip. Everything is different.
I clarified to the best of my ability but sadly you still don’t seem to understand
You clarified your interpretation of a silly point being made by a poster who hasn't just said what HE would do, but who has repeatedly criticized Margets for what SHE did. And I'm telling you that Nick Schulman, who is probably a better and more experienced poker player than any of us, said unequivocally in the moment that it was a call and that he expected Margets to ultimately decide to call. Schulman, like Margets, and like the rest of us watching, was fully cognizant of the equity percentages and the ICM implications. It was a call. You and the other guy may have arrived at a different decision in-game, and that's awesome! That's poker. But to come on this board and tell us that Margets made a mistake is asinine. The solver disagrees. Schulman disagrees. And the majority of posters here, from what I have been able to determine, disagree. No one cares about the nuance you think you are providing. No one here is not comprehending the nuance you think you are providing. It's asinine to repeatedly declare that Margets misplayed that spot. She didn't.

Ugh try paragraphs, bro.
You are foaming out of the mouth but still donβt get the gist of what heβs saying.
Bullseye is inserting himself into Margets shoes in the βonce in a lifetime situationβ so it gets into utility theory. Heβs indicating he would sacrifice the chip EV hit of not calling in order to not take the 50% chance of being out that hand.
Heβs not slamming Margets or going against Schulman (it was Hanks btw). And Scotch has made no declarations, only clarifications.

You are a masterful gaslighter, I will give you that. I'll let anyone else who's interested read your posts and mine and see if I somehow still don't get the gist of what he and you are saying. He literally wrote the words that she should have folded. If you were interested in honest intellectual debate you could go look for yourself and then contemplate whether those words add up to "she misplayed the spot." But, as ever, you are not interested in honest intellectual debate. You are interested in annoying people because it amuses you to do so. No one here is mystified by the nuances of what he and you are saying. Everyone understands what he and you are saying.
They originally planned on putting the first hour stream free on YouTube as they have every other day of the main. When Mizrachi said in his interview he would close it out in about an hour they switched to PokerGo exclusively. Way to go Mike..

Given that people kept on coming back with its positive Chip EV and Schulman, Schulman, Schulman it didn’t seem like it.
But I’ll assume you do now. But there’s really no debate to be had here though, if someone correctly acknowledges it is a positive chip EV call but they would probably have folded due to their own personal utility curves then it can’t be argued against.
But I’m happy you enjoy my body of work, only 52 minutes until this gets going again
Leo hand- I'd include all the AX offsuit and almost all KX suited for Hallaert. Could probably go even wider. If 2 people didn't just bust, she probably limp folds. Don't blame her for going for it...
It's both. And you're right people have a habit of only looking at the hand at the worst possible point of the suckout. So they say it was a 3 outer not a 30/70. But all the great play in the world doesn't matter if any one of dozens of hands go differently which is totally out of his control. He definitely plays a style that allows him to go deep, it's nice frankly to see a guy
For sure, my post wasn’t meant to diminish the positive variance it requires to be in this spot, which entails a lot more than just the all in spots. But more so that when someone with the style of Grinder hits that positive variance, that player is in a way better spot than most to capitalize, which you acknowledge as the perfect storm.
When Grinder won that hand, he became the chip leader and hasn’t looked back. A lot of other players may play that spot the same but only win a 35 big pot instead of a 75 big pot. All decisions lead to this point, but you want to compound on the hits.
A prime example is shortly after winning the AK vs KK, he ended up in the 60 big pot flip against Hendrix. Grinder obviously won that spot too, but if he lost, he still would have had 50 bigs to play with.
Here's ICM. Would you take 9M if you were Grinder?
