Sure, but there are a myriad of ways to insult me. I guess it's flattering that the only way he could do it was "you [my wife really, but I love our cats] own too many cats."
Actually owning cats is completely normal and worrying about how many cats someone has is ****ing weird.

I used to have cats and I love cat ladies. They're the most significant part of my dating pool.

The deer seem to live in the towns as no predators other than getting smoked by cars .
Article from a few years ago but its about a 8 week stretch were I carry bear spray . I have used it three times this year. The elk will not stalk you if they have young and generally run and you never get close to them.
0 cats = sociopath
1 cat = normal
2 cats = goldilocks zone
3-5 cats = sketchy but still normal
5+ cats = too many cats

Nobody is worried about it, we're just making conversation. If a girl brings me back to her place and I see cats all over the place I'm out. I've known one dude who owned 3 cats and he was a creep. One of his cats died and he put it in his freezer and kept it there.
I would own a cat if they didn't stink up the place and scratch everything. Also, I don't want to be put into a situation where the cat needs an expensive surgery.
I see deer daily around my neighborhood and the only deer that pay even slight attention to us are the moms who will get between us and their fawn and stare us down until we pass.

If you have the space for them then nothing wrong with having a lot of cats, although certainly the cliche of "cat lady" does exist for a reason and if you're using that term derisively then accusations of misogyny should apply.

The first one I got I really loved. She had taken him in and was going to adopt him out to a co-worker, but then something happened with the co-worker where they couldn't take him and I was happy to get him.
Then there was a feral cat issue around her apartment complex and she would have me come over to release them from cages and eventually we lured a couple into her apartment and got those two, and then she acquired one more cat somehow and just dropped her off at my apartment.

I think this is quite wrong. Men don't like other men much but we need each other's company to share our vices, whatever they may be. Men generally appreciate women and what they do for the world, but realise that masculinity is basically a joke nature plays on us.
