I am not really sure if TBP is one of those,but some people are having this as a coping strat when they feel lost or like losers in life-and when they realize they arent getting anywhere. They feel like they are somebody if they have goals and challenges for the future.
They talk alot about all the plans they have in the future,only to fail over and over with execution.

Not having a box spring after 10 years is beyond pathetic. When we moved into a 3rd-floor walk up, our queen size box spring wouldn't fit up the last flight of stairs, so we checked around, and bought a split queen box spring for like $120. Sometimes you have to sleep on a mattress or even directly on the floor, but you get yourself out of that situation ASAP.

Classic ELD tries to time how long it takes to walk from his room to the MGM monorail but stops along the way to grab a new players card. Instead of doing what anyone else in the world would do and pause the stopwatch while he conducts his business at the rewards desk, he instead let's the clock run the entire time and then makes the necessary adjustment to the time at completion of the walk. That means he had to separately time how long it took to get the card and then deduct that time from the total.
He discusses a hand where he checked the river with top set while having $120 behind. He defends the play in the comments by stating he would only have been able to get $20 more from a worse hand, even though the pot was already $360. You cant script it.
Oh i forgot that ELD still doesn't have a smartphone with advanced features like a clock with stopwatch function lol

The funny thing about TBP's plan is he plans to play 25 hours a week at only 3-4 hours a day, so essentially he is guaranteed to fail his plan unless he plays 7 days a week which we all know he won't come close to. He can't even bother playing 3-4 hours when he does play.

Yeah he need to set the bar far lower and more realistic. Its good to be stretching yourself upwards,but it isnt good to set unatainable goals either setting yourself up for failure.

I'm going to say Rice is the bigger exception. Lots of old people muddle around with a smart phone, but I don't know of anyone Rice's age using jitterbug technology, something that is usually only found in Grandma's hand at the nursing home.

The day that Rice does get a smart phone will almost certainly lead to some peak content as he will no doubt be mindblown by things like Google maps and explain them as if speaking to a three year old. Completely oblivious to the fact that 99% of his audience have been using smart phones for more than a decade
Once ELD gets a smart phone he can avail himself of the Myvegas app and start getting comp rooms at Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay. Or even get one comped night at MGM Grand and monorail to Harrah's for the remainder of the Nomadic week.

His lazy self shouldn't do any hours challenges, just a modest profit challenge. I think he repeatedly creates hard challenges to try to drive up interest for the vlog. But he has no clue about a big enough bankroll being necessary to stay in action. Just relying on an early sunrun. So with a tiny bankroll, he's buying in for 50bb's. With his high-variance play style, he's going to be out of action soon, as usual, saying he's taking a break til he builds another tiny bankroll, as usual. Then the next hard challenge will be announced, as usual.
