Israeli culture: they pride in being *******s. and in raping *******s.

Is it invigorating for you to say basically the same thing in virtually every post in every thread?

I'm not being critical. Inquiring minds want to know.

I dont think this aspect of Israeli culture has been discussed in this thread yet.

I'd guess (could be wrong ofc) that if you posted in the Academy Award's thread it would read something like this:

These Zionist filmmakers are just trying to make as much money as they can so they can aid and abet genocide in Gaza for fun and profit.

Am I wrong?

So how about them Jewish space lasers?

And btw if you want to look up Israeli culture check out the startup culture they have. The IDF is a pipeline for successful startup founders.

ethnic group means distinguishable from other groups by DNA testing.

and the cultural part requires a specific culture *not shared by any other group worldwide*. that doesn't apply either.

No it doesn't. Stop making things up again.

een according to this silly, radical leftist definition that eliminates the most important thing (DNA), "palestinians" are indistinguishable from jordans for all those characteristics

I don’t believe you know enough about either to say that Palestinian culture is the same as Jordanian.

Some old photos I've found from Palestine, mainly West Bank, couple from Gaza. This is 2009 not too long after the end of the First Gaza War. Nothing too exciting.

Got wild photos from Gaza and East Jerusalem but they were taken on old school disposable cameras, as there was a high chance of cameras getting confiscated at checkpoints for "security purposes", then never seeing them again.

do you think texan is an ethnicity? they are far more distinguished from the american average , and have been for longer, than gaza and the WB are from middle eastern arabs (in jordan and elsewhere).

If palestinian is an ethnicity, yorkshiremen constitute an ethnicity, burgundians do, texans do (all far more than palestinians to be clear). Which is really not how real people use that word.

just stopping by to point that Vic is still a re^ard

Ethnicity isn't a scientific term. It is an anthropological one. If everyone decides Palestinians are an ethnicity, then they are. The point is we should be cognizant that it isn't some historical identity going back thousands of years.

But an identity created in the latter 20th century; with the purpose of denying, defying and ultimately destroying the state of Israel. And no interest in state building. And the "State of Palestine" exists nowhere but in the Western imagination.

very normal country.

Now you’re just being stupid and ignorant. Yorkshire culture would depend very much on which part of Yorkshire you’re talking about.

very normal country.

I'm sure we all agree that celebrating the killing of innocent folks is disgusting.

As I'm sure(?) you would agree that Gazans celebrating after 10/7 were also disgusting.

(This is NOT a 'whataboutism' - I'm probing for moral consistency.)

well they arent equivalent situations which anyone with half a brain should understand so...

Thanks, those were interesting.

Jordanians have always regarded Palestinians (the Arab inhabitants of what was British Mandate Palestine) as a distinct group because of their different history. This was the case even during Jordan's tenure of the West Bank and West Jerusalem (allocated to the Arabs under the UN Partition Plan) in 1948-67. The Jordanians got very fed up with the Palestinians and threw out their armed militia groups in the 'Black September' of 1970.

very normal country.

Yet when this guy gets his ass kicked headlines will read ''Jew attacked because he's a Jew''.

I'll rephrase my question slightly:

Was it disgusting for Palestinians to celebrate the killing of innocent folks on 10/7?

free and just minded people should all celebrate generational prisoners escaping from a concentration camp.

I think you are just going to have to check off the "no moral consistency" box and move on.

theres never been an investigation so we dont know how many innocent people were killed and by whom on Oct 7th. as reported extensively in Palestinian and Israeli press, the IDF intentionally slaughtered their own citizens at an insane rate.

So, you're not going to answer my question. Got it.

I couldn't agree more.

That said, how are they doing now that they've escaped the 'concentration camp'?

Maybe I'm suffering from False Memory Syndrome (or maybe it's just creeping senility), but didn't Hamas brag about killing folks on 10/7?
