**** 2025 Season-long NFL PEEHS! ****

Hello again, football fans!

It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 13th season, the third under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!

But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.

I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?

PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.

If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.

If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.

Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.

Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.

Our reigning 2024 Champion is cokeboy99!

How do I enter?

Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

Since we get questions on this every year...

Not spaced (don’t do this):

Jaguars Eagles Saints Saquon Barkley…

Single-spaced (DO THIS ONE):

Jaguars
Eagles
Saints
Saquon Barkley…

Double-spaced (don’t do this):

Jaguars

Eagles

Saints

Saquon Barkley…

So then. On to the questions! All questions are for the 2025 NFL Regular Season.

I think the biggest barrier to people making entries is that they don’t want to sit down and take the time to do the research to make their entry as competitive as possible. In the interest of reducing that friction, I thought I’d include some helpful information for everyone while you’re filling out your entry.

It’s my goal to make it so your entry can be as thoughtful, or as capricious as you want!

Let there be NO excuses as to why ANYONE can’t enter!

As you might expect, this contest is a big time commitment to run. I do it because I love it, and it’s fun… but this message board doesn’t see the traffic it used to, during the halcyon poker boom days. Similarly, this contest is less fun with fewer participants. We need as big a field as possible, to spot or fade trends in SHEEP picks, and to make aces more meaningful.

It’s why I eventually quit running MLB Baseball PEEHS, for those who remember. That was ALSO a lot of fun, but if we only have 26 entries, every correct is an ace.

So we’re a go for this year. I’m all in, and looking forward to a great football season.

But if we get less than 50 entries this year, it will be my last season as the PEEHS host.

in to finish in the middle

I had a small part in getting this going again

Peer pressure

Last year got 48. I think we are drawing dead and this will be the last year. Prove me wrong!

My sheep answer for Q#1 was Cincinnati but they aren't bolded in your hints. It's quite possible I don't understand the question.

Yep, I made a mistake. Already in mid-season form in that respect!

New England should NOT be in bold, they won in Week 1 last year. Cincinnati SHOULD be bold, they are eligible to be correct.

I asked AIM to edit it for me.

I'm in - I have a title to defend! Probably gonna regress to middle of the pack, but we shall see.

I'm being bold and in it to win it this time

I haven't checked the questions yet. Did any get adjusted like we talked about last year?

β€œYes, hello, can you please transfer me to the WE’RE BACK DEPARTMENT”

entered.

resubmit with full player names per OP

Yes, I moved the three 300 yard passing game question from week 6 to week 9, and dropped the winning effort requirement for a TD in an international game.

I moved the 5 sacks question up two weeks, and dropped it to 4 sacks. That question went 27 right/21 wrong as written last year, so I think it’ll be okay.

I'll have a pretty good idea of whether my entry's any good after week 1.
