In the spirit of the books and movies threads, here's one to talk about what you're listening to lately and what you hav
Mel Taylor, replaced broken back Howie Johnson, who in turn replaced a future 4-star general who had to quit because too young for night clubs
no doubt the Ventures were guitar innovators, especially affecting special effects, specifically fuzz and 12-string combos
I will admit I am ignorant when it comes to Ventures history but when I was in college we had a band come to campus (1972-1973ish) that featured a past "Ventures" guitarist. Which one I have no idea? But damn that guy could shred!

Same. I know nothing about them or surf music in general other than the fact that it's a great. I really like Ventures in Space.
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I’ve had a pretty lousy time overall for much of 2025, and I’m sick right and I could be out of work for a while due to a gas leak at the bar, but this put a huge smile on my face. Thank you to all who posted.
