there are ethnicity data, not religious data. Also because it's kinda hard to determine if someone is actually religious or not and it wouldn't be fair to consider people "religious" just depending on ethnicity. A lot of people can be practically atheist especially in the west for example.

We segment by affiliation groups (Muslim, Christian, Jewish), regardless of your personal definition as religious or not.

You can also segment by origin - Arabs, for example. We know that there is a concern about characterizing the Muslim and/or Arab groups in European countries. We saw this with the rape gangs, with the crime rates of immigrants from Syria and so forth.

For example - the group "Asians" that is a distinguished group characterized in Britain, what is it supposed to represent - Chinese and Iraqis together? The whole point is to hide the facts, so as not to present the real problem - the cultural problem in the Muslim population, whether religious or secular.
