No idea but it gives the authority holding the cash a bunch of leverage.

Not even convinced what Joe is saying is legit. Hard to imagine any of these contract details being public, I sure couldn't find anything for points 1 and 2. Point 4 I think makes sense.

Kieran Maguire on the price of football goes over the sorts of things that are in contracts quite regularly. There are tons of podcasts/TV shows that look at footballers/managers contracts.
I was referring to Wenger 2.0 of course, where he had to pay the stadium loan off and eschewed big signings and made a YoY profit, before the triptych of FA cup wins.

Dunno if we talk England here as well but holy **** is this sad. 1-0 up after 60 minutes vs a team of bakers, police and firemen.
Meh don't think any striker would've had a good game. It's shocking how little England managed to do vs a team like that and I'd blame Tuchel 100% for once again forcing some of the worst football ever on the world. I think he's competing with Southgate for who the biggest football terrorist is.
It does make me laugh that so many England fans were cheering when Tuchel took over from Southgate. It's almost as if they'd never watched one of his teams before.
Always worth remembering that with manager sackings:- The payout only lasts as long as the manager is unemployed- The contract usually stipulates that the manager has to be (demonstrably) looking for work- In practice, when a new job comes along (often paid worse than the "payout" they received from the last club), the three parties will put their heads together and agree on so
Plus manager contracts usually have a limit on compensation, typically 12-months salary.
