none of the people bombed were considered terrorists by International Law nor in any moral sense.and lol at whining about returning the dead. Israel literally murders people trying to bury their dead. and ofc they hold onto the dead indefinitely.

and ofc when they return them, its only after stripping them of their organs.

According to you and the Hamas Health Authority.

Is Victor schizoposting again? Sure sign that Israel took down some terrorists.

by lozen

According to you and the Hamas Health Authority.

no, according to International Law and almost every country in the world

They were definitely terrorists lol

by Victor

no, according to International Law and almost every country in the world

That tells us all how screwed up the UN is

by lozen

They are so sick they will not even return the dead

Lol. Israel literally has an entire cemetery of bodies they refused to return to families. Their other trick is charging outrageous prices for return of bodies.

So, according to your own source, the attack on 10/7 was "horrific and reprehensible."

*and according to that source it was an act of terror

i don't remember you predicting Israel would have the unprecedented, unbelivable success it had.

Syria gone , Golan heights secured, Hezbollah paged, Iran surgically bombed, Hamas leadership destroyed.

where did you predict that?

Haven't we gone over the point many times about 50% of Republicans 18-49 having a negative view of Israel and the irreplacability of tens of millions of American Protestants?

How can you make a statement like this when your best response is that the Hindu nationalists will step up to take American's place?

Have you ever heard of a Pyrrhic victory? When you rely on another country for ammo, the Pyrrhic aspect doesn't have to happen on the battlefield.

None of this was a success, because all of it is contributing to Israel being cut off and having a drastic reduction in their conventional capabilities. If being under sanctions, going back to kibbutz subsistence farming, and not being able to travel is a successful trajectory, then yes, Netanyahu is doing a great job.

Israel has been wildly successful militarily. How is any of this sending Israel back to Kibbutz sustenance farming? This guy has been watching too many Twitch and YouTube clips.

Israel’s defense sector is booming and with Russia’s continued aggression into Europe it doesn’t look like demand is going to subside any time soon.

So much for that Kibbutz sustenance farming.

thats not the discussion. I was just pointing out that Hamas is not considered a terrorist organization by the UN and I cited a high ranking UN official account to confirm this.

but if anything it furthers my argument. despite Western International Law and officials hate for Hamas, they still cannot deem them terrorists.

if you want to talk about how horrible it was, we can, but I would just say that necessarily when concentration camp victims break out of a generational prison, maybe a few eggs get cracked.

You might be very young but unless you are, you memoryholed the fact that many people on the left and some on the right hated israel even before their reaction to 7 10.

The shift is much smaller than you think

In addition, the public’s views of Israel have turned more negative over the past three years. More than half of U.S. adults (53%) now express an unfavorable opinion of Israel, up from 42% in March 2022 – before the Hamas attack of Oct. 7, 2023, and the ensuing Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

I don’t follow the Twitch scene but my guess is he’s regurgitating Hasan Piker talking points.

The idea that Israel support is eroding in the west and that could be a problem for Israel in the future is directionally correct.

But the idea that the west loved Israel and it self-destroyed that with the reaction of 7 10 is objectively wrong. Leftists especially in europe have always been extremely antisemitic.

Israel has always been a proxy of capitalism, the west, "colonization" and so on in european leftist eyes. They always wanted it destroyed and fighting Israel was for them a fight against what they can't fight at home: our entire cultural and economic system basically.

That has always been the case and directionally it grew (with postmodern "anticolonization" and "antiwhite" narratives).

So he is completly wrong if he believes that Israel dissipated political capital with it's reaction to the terrorist attacks. It has to act against time and secure it's safety for the long term before the tide, that existed before the latest terror attacks, submerges them

There’s surely truth to what he says, and changing sentiment towards Israel in the West is obviously a concern.

I agree Israel pushing their advantage now is probably worth weathering the possible repercussions 20 years down the road, but only time will tell.

You’re completely right that many in the West already didn’t like Israel. The UN was basically working hand in hand with Hamas lmao.

well not according to the vast majority of the world. but we know that only certain types of people matter to you.

This echoes what Pompeus has been saying but also shows that support was already changing before October 7th.

by Victor

The vast majority of the world considers them terrorists or doesn’t care.

I'd like to employ the "Two things can be true at the same time" Principle:

1. Hamas' attack on 10/7 was a terrorist attack.

2. Israel's response by commiting genocide in Palestine is 100x more evil and horrific than the 10/7 attack was.

Hamas is on the list.

didnt realize USA spoke for the whole world.

oh wait, we already covered this

Hamas literally attacked the army bases besieging the Gaza strip. it doesnt get any less terroristic than that.

With the “browning” of the entire western world and whites being demographically replaced with much more antisemitic populations, many of when bemoan that the holocaust didn’t go far enough, time was never on Israel’s side.

Going for broke and creating a world where you don’t need such strong friends because you have destroyed most of your enemies is a very rational decision under the circumstances.

Maybe it works and maybe it doesn’t. But the last 2 years have done nothing to directionally change what was already happening in the western world.

I would say you actually understand this, you want Israel to fail, and are actually upset the events of the laser 2 years makes this less likely.
