It's not the vast majority of the world, it's the US, Britain, the EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel and, for some reason, Paraguay. Quite a powerful bloc, but not the majority of the world. One factor may be that they don't engage in out-of-area activities, so they're not seen as a threat to the general order. (Though some Arab countries, notably Egypt, are wary of them as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt is not going to get friendly with Hamas, or admit large numbers of Gazans within its borders, any time soon.)

Apparently the mission failed by a small but critical margin and the high-value targets were not hit. And it can't be done again that way because Trump was annoyed by being informed only at the last minute and has assured Qatar that he won't tolerate a repeat.

It sounds like they didn’t get their main target, but we still don’t know for sure. The specifics may never come out as Bibi, Trump, Hamas, and Qatar are all prone to lying.

Not every detail has been set, but Trump and the Sunni Arab states worked out a rough rebuilding plan for Gaza a long time ago, where international forces would initially take control and then transition to the PA.

All that has been standing in the way has been Hamas giving back the hostages and disarming. And although Netanyahu clearly doesn't want to leave Gaza, if the hostages were given back and Hamas disarmed Trump would force him to.

And yes, it would appear everyone has lost their patience waiting for Hamas to come around.

More and more it seems the hit was coordinated by the US, Israel and the Sunni Arab states; and some senior Hamas members surviving is an unfortunate complication. But they are moving forward with the plan anyways.

Of course because Arab people, and more generally the Ummah, are so antisemitic and support Hamas, all this has to be handled as delicately as possible on the Arab side, where they are suitably outraged at Israel and have plausible deniability they are involved.

It also helps that Qatar has complete control over the main Arab media mouthpiece; so I dont see Al Jazeera exploring any theories Qatar was involved in the hit like a real independent media (as opposed to the state controlled propaganda they are) would.

Edit: I checked Al Jazeera and all the articles come from the angle that Qatar is outraged this happened, blame it all on Netanyahu and dont even make the obvious deduction there is no way this could have happened without Trump's ok. Exactly as one would expect from state controlled propaganda.

Just a reminder that before 1948 Jews generally referred to themselves as Palestinians, and local Arabs generally rejected the term. And the "Palestinian" Arab nationalist identity didn't really take off until 1967, when Jordan* and Egypt relinquished control of the West Bank and Gaza respectively.

It is an interesting "what if" to wonder what happens if the Jews had just kept the name of Palestine for their country instead of naming it Israel. The lazy answer is that history would progress the same, with the Arabs calling themselves something else. But it is entirely possible the actual "Palestinian" Arab nationalist movement progresses differently under a different moniker, and everything changes.

*Jordan didn't actually formally relinquish its claim over the West Bank until 1988

Trump already said Israel will not be violating Qatar sovereignty again. Of course, anyone with 2 brain cells should be able to discern Trump and Qatar signed off on this hit. But Trump has to maintain appearances regardless, so it isn't happening again.

I don't care about the rules of the site or the way of discussion here, but to claim that what I wrote is Islamophobic borders on complete stupidity. The inability to conduct a complex discussion about the problems in Muslim society is the metastasis of cancer that has grown from progress, which will eventually destroy the body.

Regarding the post - that's exactly why all I have left is to just troll here. It's impossible to conduct a discussion with such a combination of stupidity and ignorance. It's okay that you don't know Israeli society. I don't know French society and therefore don't write with complete confidence about internal social processes.

Each assumption, each claim, is more stupid than the next.

1. The immigration of Christian Arabs from Nazareth is only due to the violence in Muslim society. Only! They say it. Write it. They interviewe about it. So what this idiot does? He invents a theory that suits his agendas and forcefully try to rape it on the case.

2. The Israeli government does not "allow" or "does not allow" immigration from city to city. Christian Arabs are Israeli citizens. They are allowed to move to live in any city in Israel.

3. Regarding the violence in Arab-Muslim society - we are investing a lot of resources in dealing with it. Unfortunately, in the meantime, the situation is only getting worse. As I noted, educated Muslim Arabs are also victims of the phenomenon, they are also moving in droves (and even leaving the country in light of threats to their lives).

4. I understood exactly what Trolli wrote. This is part of the stupidity - trying to rape theories again regarding the relations between the white and black population in the US, and the relations between Christian-Muslim Arabs in Israel. Anyone who does not understand why this is stupid is probably... stupid... White Arabs

Regarding the terrible "discrimination" of Muslims in Israel.

Every Israeli Jew is required to enlist in the army at the age of 18 (unless they have a deferral of service), or volunteer for national service. Men are required to serve for at least 3 years and women for at least 2 years.

Muslim Arabs are exempt from both military and national service.

While the average age of a Jew enrolling in university is 23 (because after the army we usually need some time off, to work, etc.), for Muslims it is 18.

So Muslim have about a 5-year advantage at the beginning of their lives and careers over us.
Wait, that's not all. They also receive affirmative action in admission to higher education institutions. That is, they can be accepted with a lower grade point average for most subjects/institutions.

Also, I dont now how much you follow American right wing antisemitic social media. But led by Tucker Carlson, the populist right is doing a full court press of misinformation about how Jews are attacking Christians in the Middle East, and it is successfully permeating into the mainstream.

So that is why all these made up narratives about Jews abusing Christians is coming up. And the far left is all to happy to jump on board the misinformation hate train, even though they couldn't care less one way or another what is going on with Christian Arabs throughout the ME.
