Morality is subjective, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t real (or universal). This is where you are gravely mistaken.

But yes, my moral convictions are not based on some unchanging law(s) or holy scripture. They are based on agreement among a future, more evolved version of humanity that has been molded + deemed worthy by Reality / God.

Greenhouse gases are the ONLY thing which traps heat in our atmosphere and makes life on Earth survivable for humans in moderation.
Without any GHG's the Earth would be 30C colder.
Best recent estimates are that Equilibrium Climate Sensitivity is ~ 4.5C. That means that average Earth temperature will increase by 4.5C with a doubling of GHG forcing.
We have doubled GHG forcing since 1900 and the rate of increase is growing over time, not slowing. It takes time to reach equilibrium and we have reached 1.5C of the 4.5C which is baked in.
Human civilization as currently constructed will not survive at +4.5C.

Global albedo has dropped from something like 29.2% to 28.7%. That's one of the consequences of losing sea ice.
Lower albedo means more sunlight is absorbed and converted to heat. It's part of a vicious cycle. Heat and GHG's fuel each other in a spiral.

The small Norwegian outpost of Svalbard is estimated to have lost 60 billion tons of ice during heat waves this past summer. An amount comparable to the net ice loss in Greenland.
Sea level is rising much more rapidly along the US coast throughout the Gulf all the way around to Cape Hatteras.
I suspect the slowing of the AMOC has something to do with this.

It is a forecast for this season, not the coming decades. It does not even say that there will be fewer storms or hurricanes, merely that they expect them later and for the season to draw out.
Headlines and simplified ideological take on complex phenomena is a dangerous mix, especially when articles are assumed instead of read.
Now, the relationship between weather and climate is complex and filled with uncertainties. Complex enough that nitpicking and cherrypicking can be used to derail any meaningful discussion. The mistake is in thinking that this is a good way to approach the topic.

This isn't the first time you have cherry picked data on this site. There is far more than just Hurricanes that are being caused by Climate Change.
Aside from the 6 to 10 million deaths from air pollution each year which has nothing to do with climate change but does have to do with the air quality (especially in cities) there are many things that are now being escalated by global warming.
There is also the rising of the ocean due to melting icebergs and the increase of flooding.
And basically just the rising of average temperatures on Earth in the last 100 years caused specifically by the burning of coal, oil, and gas.
Also, just one year of evidence doesn't mean that there hasn't been a huge rise in bad Hurricanes in the past 20 years. Basically the same thing happened with Global Warming in 1998 when the average heat that year was incredibly high so that the next year the 10 year average showed a drop in average temperature. That alone may have been the cause of why we call it Climate Change now and not Global Warming. The irony was that if you looked at 20 or 25 year average temperatures instead of just 10 the heat was still rising every year even after the massive 1998 heat wave.

I defined it: people who claim scenarios far worse than the median IPCC scenarios for climate change. There is no social media hysteria about it. The IPCC predictions under the various RCP scenarios are public.
None of my climate change takes denied any IPCC report scientific claim btw, unlike every take by nut nut and many others.
Ofc after the scientific claims, there are the economic/moral/political tradeoff claims , and that's a completly different game.
But when people insist that AT THE PRESENT DAY hurricans increased in intensity and frequency because of climate change, they simply objectively lie. Or at least, they at most use the most DOOMERIST (=far away from IPCC consensus) published papers , denying the existence of all other published papers that do not confirm their claim, invent a non existing consensus about attribution, and push it.
That's doomerism.
If you have been led to believe that science has PROVEN that hurricanes increased in intensity and frequency because of the 1.4 celsius warming over the 1850-1900, or that there is a CONSENSUS among experts that is the case, you have been lied to.

What will happen to hurricans with more warming, we won't know until it happens. But RIGHT NOW they didn't increase worldwide in intensity and frequency, and anyone claiming otherwise is lying on purpose to attempt to scare people about climate change (and motivate them to support regulations and so on). Simple as that.

The IPCC's 6th assessment has many different predictions. Some of them describe the outcome if several suggested policies are implemented world-wide and immediately by decisionmakers (around 2022 - 2023).
Your understanding of the IPCC reports is made from people who took those specific predictions and presented them as the predictions of the report. This is a classic half-truth, whereby you and many others are manipulated into a gross misunderstanding of the report's conclusions. Said manipulation is also made easier by feeding you what you want to hear.
Now, the 6th assessment isn't written by men and women with signs telling us the world is going to end. However, the report's predictions for what will happen if we continue down our current course are stark.
