I'm going to be driving into Canada and back to the US very soon. Does anyone have any current experience with what the border situation is like for driving back and forth?

They ask you questions. You answer them. You also show ID. And then you go through the border. it's quite easy.

Offer the guard a joint as a courtesy and they'll let you pass on through, no probs.

I have no clue about Canada but I get harassed about half the time I fly back from Colombia which is usually through Fort Lauderdale and the level of crap I give them back depends entirely on how short my connecting flight is.

We will probably be coming from Cascade NP so likely through Sumas, but maybe Blaine with the ultimate destination Vancouver. Gonna do whale watching around Telegraph Cove.
