SE Boxing Thread (not waiting for PBF v. Pac II)
I can't hold it in anymore. Pretty Boy's said repeatedly that a good PPV fight takes at least 6 months to promote proper
Has anyone published the punch count?
It's had to have been pathetic even when 2 minute rounds are considered
Not sure but Tyson averaged over $1 million per landed punch.
18 .minutes.... 20 miliondollars.
A bit perplexed that so many punters seem oblivious to what being (near) 60 years old means to athleticism. Bring Jordan out at 60 to play in the NBA now, Tiger in 12 years from now, Willie Mays 20 years after he struggled so mightily around age 40, Hank Aaron ditto, Jon Jones 20+ years from now, Peyton Manning about 10 years from now (I'm sure he'd really be able to fling), Rafa Nadal 20+ years from now. Bring them all back and let's say its' fixed when they can't perform. You get it??
Tyson was lucky he didn't have a heart attack, let alone be able to fling.
He looked pretty respectable vs Roy Jones just 4 years ago.
Well, at least he threw some real punches and looked like he wanted to fight, against a real fighter no less.
Just an awful exhibition all around. Mike literally can't move. Jake didn't really even try. Announcers arguing with each other the whole time. Nothing of any interest happened at all.
At least Mike made enough money he might not go bankrupt again.
The knee bandage gave it away - that is motivation enough for your opponent to see that you are hurt even before a punch is thrown. Surprised he didn't just fight without it but anyway - I guess he is old.
Lol
What am I missing? Isn't McGregor tied up with his UFC contract and why he can't do these things? Otherwise figured he would be doing them the last 5 years.
Uninterrupted footage from the Usyk/Fury press conference:

The Ambani's have a lot more sway than Dana, and are people he would be good to get into bed with if he wants to try to try to break into the massive Indian market.
Wow this thread has been dormant since late 2024? Guess the megafight with Jake Paul vs Tank Davis live on netflix will be able to revive it.
Kidding aside, surprised Canelo is only a 2-1 fav vs Crawford given Crawford is moving up 2 weight classes (and really closer to 3 weight classes) for this fight, Crawford is also older
Lennox Lewis - All Knockouts of the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion
The odds are grim. But Crawford has a chance, even with the weight. If he can put it on his chin, if the threat is real , he wont just get bullied. Then it becomes who has better hands and he does. This is all in mind, I get that, who knows.
Man, give me Bud by MD. like 7-5, 7-5, 6-6
That interview really makes me like Crawford. All the talk about weight and big stage, he answers the questions just doing the interview but there is no reaction to it all. He clearly doesnt care, no Fs given. He tries to explain it makes no sense since the past doesnt prove it. He is confident.

ESPN did a deep dive on Crawford around 2019. Cliffs: he’s one of the alltime dgaf “seen so much outside the ring that nothing inside could remotely faze him” guys. Plus he had to survive his mom when the size discrepancy was a lot greater than it is tonight. He’s just a serene, ice cold, hyper competitive guy, who’s natural inclination is to vanquish not just win, and enjoy doing so, as we saw with Spence.
Seems like most of the analysts & media are picking Canelo, and most of the fighters are picking Bud. The guy who fought both of them thinks itÂ’s a terrible stylistic matchup for Canelo.
ItÂ’s very difficult for me to overlook fifty years of the size difference factor, but fuggit. Bud might go down once or twice early, but Canelo does his usual slowdown after 7 and is stopped on cuts after 10, and Bud becomes > Robinson p4p.
Also, lol boxing for being less popular than Arkansas—Ole Miss, and the star MMA fighters for getting paid less than 1% of what these two are getting tonight.
This should be a great fight, no?
Placed a parlay with Canelo by decision.
These start times, dont they know how old I am
Jeremy Renner looking like if his Town character had survived and just got paroled.
Nice to see MJ Fox still getting out and about.
lol maynard
100 minutes behind schedule
