**** 2025 Season-long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEH
Pretty sure I have the falcons kicker, sadly
My 50 yard kicker is already good. Think he's from Houston, Fairbairn. The 110 points one is probably a sheep with Aubrey.
**** you Steelers
my first 3 picks were all connected. probably sheepy
Kickers are just too unpredictable so I went with Aubrey, probably my sheepy-ish pick
The last 5+ years I've gone with Tucker on every Kicker question and let everyone know so if they picked him it wouldn't be a sheep. Stupid idiot couldn't be chosen this year.
Who's here? It's time for the Question 2 Reveal!
2. Name a team that will be undefeated at the end of Week 2
For this question, we had 31 correct answers, and 23 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
Our most popular incorrect answer, though NOT the SHEEP, was played by 8 players: the Denver Broncos. The defense looks nasty, but Bo Nix has been up and down. The football watching public can ALL tell you about "leverage" on a field goal attempt, now, as the Broncos fell to the Colts in Week 2.

Our next most popular incorrects are would-be 3-pointers. What's going on in the Kingdom? The Kansas City Chiefs are 0-2, for the first time since 2014. That was Andy Reid's second season, and also the last season the Chiefs missed the playoffs. Personally, I think their defense is better than they've shown, Mahomes is still That Guy, and they'll be fine... and right there at the end. We'll see how they respond to adversity as the season unfolds.

Also played by 3 contestants, our next incorrect is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They had a thrilling win in the opener over the Jets, but went completely braindead on the new kickoff rules against the Seahawks.

Our next most popular incorrects were played by 2 entrants. What is going on in South Beach? The Miami Dolphins came out and looked like the worst team in the NFL in Week 1, then dropped the home opener vs the Patriots. Lots of ugly talk coming out of their locker room and coaching staff. It doesn't get any easier, as they try to turn it around in Buffalo tomorrow night.

Also played by 2 contestants, our next incorrect is the Baltimore Ravens. They looked great, for 55 minutes, against the Bills, but ultimately fell, in an early candidate for Regular Season Game of the Year.

Also played by 2 players, including yours truly, is the New England Patriots. I believed the hype, and drank the Kool-Aid (and probably listen to Bill Simmons' podcast too much), and liked their opening slate. Unfortunately for me, the Raiders came into Foxborough and got the win.

The remaining incorrects went ace-hunting. The Washington Commanders looked old and slow against the Packers on last Thursday night.

St. Jude is the Patron Saint of Lost Causes. I felt that to be relevant information for our resident Jags homer, as the Jacksonville Jaguars fell to the Bengals last weekend.

And finally, JJ McCarthy is now out 2-4 weeks, as the Minnesota Vikings fell to my practice squad kicker and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Here are the 3 correct answers that weren't played!
Philadelphia Eagles
Los Angeles Chargers
Green Bay Packers
Let's pour one out for a mainstay of this contest, our resident Cheesehead RunRunPassPunt, who didn't submit an entry this year.
There is no WAY the Packers would have been un-played corrects for BOTH of the first two questions! Such villainy would not stand.
On to the correct answers!
This question's SHEEP answer was played by a whopping 15 contestants! Some people like the Arizona Cardinals to be sneaky-good this year. ...Apparently not that sneaky, with this sharp PEEHS field! They rode an easy opening slate to wins over the Saints and Panthers, and now begin NFC West division play with the 49ers this weekend.

Our next most popular correct answer was played by 9 players. The Cincinnati Bengals are undefeated, but at what cost? Joe Burrow has turf toe that will require surgery, will miss at least the next 3 months, and maybe the season. Jake Browning is one of the best backup QB's in the league, and held his own the last time this happened, in 2023. We'll see what he's got, how the Bengals respond, and most importantly, for the purposes of THIS contest, what the statistical impact will be on the rest of the Bengals' team.

Our next correct was played by 3 entrants. The Los Angeles Rams won a defensive struggle in Houston, then soundly defeated a plucky Titans team.

Question 2 closes with FOUR aces. Lots of people stayed away from that coinflip of an opening game, but win it the Buffalo Bills DID. They went on to obliterate the Jets, and I will be laying 12, thanks, against the Dolphins tomorrow night. Last year they had the division basically clinched by Halloween, and this year looks no different.

Our next ace is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of their wins have been close, and it really irks me that my terrible Falcons couldn't find a way to win that Week 1 game. Such a huge game, the home game vs the most likely division opponent. But the Buccaneers have won 5 NFC South titles in a row, and are in the driver's seat in the division for this year.
