I’d say that white men (and their womenfolk) being shown they are is the primary driver behind MAGA. It’s there in the microcosm of the rising Latino male vote for Trump: Latina women are outpacing everyone in upward income mobility. It's just envy.

We are talking about whether someone is professionally accomplished, which is a somewhat different question.
In any case, I think what you describe above is an idiotic way to measure competence. David Boise was a lot more competent lawyer than your average right-wing hack. And Paul Clement is a lot more competent than your average left-wing hack. All you have to do to convince yourself of that point is watch them.

I haven't heard that sentiment from lawyers. I've heard left-leaning lawyers characterize them as vile, but not incompetent.

I do think there was pressure from politicians on regulators in this situation. I think thats an indirect way of right wing politicians cancelling him. If he wasn't a comedian i'd see the point. But on the other hand guys like him and colbert are clinging on to a dying niche that loses money so they weren't going to endure any heat on his behalf.

When you are dealing with abstractions I think it might actually be the opposite. It actually takes intelligence to go through the mental gymnastics to justify supporting left wing ideas in the face of all intuitive logic and empirical data how bad they are.

antifa started in europe. Here today in NA antifa is a collection of unhinged far leftists that dress up in all black and harass, attack, etc their political opposition. They have a ton of people with anarcho communist ideology but its not homogeneous. If you look at them speak which is rare or see their mugshots, theyre totally insane. The incident occurred at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas, on Friday, according to Nancy Larson, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas.
At approximately 10:37 p.m., 10 to 12 individuals dressed in black, military-style clothing began shooting fireworks and engaging in acts of vandalism at the facility, Larson said during a press conference.

Thought about it for a minute and came to the conclusion that women are doing fine because the world isn't sexist, hyper-patriarchal and we don't live in a misogynistic society. If men didn't want women in these spaces, they wouldn't be.
