Trip Report 9/21 - 9/26
Just sitting in the airport bored and waiting for my flight. Looks like it is on time.
Cant wait to get out there again but I have mixed emotions about flying on a Sunday afternoon. On one hand I dont get to watch the Bears game but on the other hand I dont HAVE to watch the Bears game š
Anyway ill check back in once i get settled in. I will be staying at the Encore this trip and plan on playing a few tournies.
I am in! Safe travels. Consider yourself lucky to not have to watch American football š

Got checked in and unpacked. Check in at Encore was very simple. The room is really nice and high tech. Even got to see the last 4 minutes of the Bears game. Looks like this could be there a year.

Need to go get something to eat. Then I want to try my luck a little bit of poker. For some reason my pictures won't upload. I guess I need to get that sorted before this trip report really gets going.

GL. Iām also out here for a couple days on a limited poker trip with a handful of fellow chicagoans. Cowboys are bad.

Decided to forego the traditional cheesecake Factory first dinner . Since they took away my cashew chicken I didn't feel like trudging all the way down to Caesars. The initial reason I used to go there was just for the cheescake. But since I'm trying to lose weight I don't really need any cheesecake.
So I just went to Grand Lux and got the burger melt which was great.

After dinner I went to the Venetian poker room and played for a little while not too long. I was in for $300 out for 348 so I'm off to a winner with my first game. I'm kind of beat right now so I'm just going to head back up to the room drink a beer or two and watch the end of the football game. It seems like I have better luck with the pictures if I load them before I try to type anything.
I am already resigned to the fact that my body clock is gonna be hosed this trip. Plan for tomorrow is probably to get up way too early, do my morning walkabout, hit the pool when it opens at 9am and figure out some breakfast in there somewhere before heading to the 11am Venetian $400 2 day event, Tomorrow is day 1a Tuesday is 1b and final is Wednesday. So I am playing 1a tomorrow and hopefully final on Wednesday. Plan to play a Wynn daily on Tuesday and if I felt out tomorrow another Wynn (or Resorts World) daily on Wednesday. Rest of the time I will play cash. Leaving early Friday morning.

My husband always prefers it when we get a room with mirrors. LOL š He'd love that room!
Woke up way too early as was expected. Got up about 4:00 a.m. Vegas time. Which is the typical time I usually wake up at home. I thought about going playing some early morning poker but decided I would just take a walk instead. Decided to head down to the Bellagio Conservatory to see what it looks like this time. But on the way I saw something new. They got rid of that love sign in the Venetian in front of the waterfall and replaced it with a Wizard of Oz promotion.
From there I did head down to the bellagio.
From there I plan to head back and grab some breakfast at the peppermill. On the way I stopped at the Cromwell and tried my luck with $100 at bubble craps.
Hit a roll right off the bat and cashed out quickly for plus 113.
Then I headed for the Peppermill but that was a mistake as they aren't 24 hours anymore only on the weekends so they didn't open until 7:00 a.m. since it was 6:30 I decided just to go back to the Venetian and go to the Grand lux. I had my traditional eggs benedict for my first breakfast in town and they were delicious.
Now I'm just going to kill a little time in the room watching the news until the pool opens at 9:00. I figure I'll stay out there for about an hour then come back get cleaned up and get ready to go play the tournament.
The pool was nice but I didn't stay out there very long. It was nice and sunny for the first half hour but then it clouded up and stayed that way.
Now I'm going to get cleaned up and head over to the tournament. This one looks like it's got pretty good structure. 40K starting stack with 40 minute levels. I hope I can stay patient and focused.
