i wonder if NY and states like it will allow the site with this new model?
Are they changing their tax reporting? Rake? If not the site remains unplayable.
So can nj players now play there ? It’s a god dam training site now. I reason why we shouldn’t be allowed to play on a training site.

this is still highly illegal and will accelerate them getting shut down and or getting criminal charges as well. It shows intent not to comply as well which is why they will make an example out of them.

You chose a career, online poker, and you chose to live in CA. Those choices are incompatible given online poker is not legal in CA.
You have couple of choices. You can move to where your career choice is legal. Or you can change your career choice. Moving to Commerce fits this latter choice by switching to playing live.

Lots of people in the history of the world had to make a choice about doing to what's best for them including relocating for work reasons all the time. You are not special. You knew online wasn't legal in CA the whole time as well. Anyway only you can make that decision and you should focus your efforts on that.

If their lawyers believe it is not illegal then why aren't they back in the states they've banned this year? It makes no sense. If the new model was to bypass sweeps laws and legislation then those states should be back instantly under the new model........they are not though

The states banned sweeps sites. They are claiming this site is now a training site...not a sweeps site. If they were so confident in the new model they would be back in those states. The point is they are not confident at all

You don’t have a clue about how this works. Do you have any evidence to support your claim any lawyers think this is legal?
1. Do you know the operators even asked any lawyer for an opinion?
2. Very possible lawyers told them this was still illegal but operators choose to ignore the lawyers.
3. Even if their lawyers shared an opinion they felt the new model was legal, that opinion legally carries no probative weight. Legally no more weight than your or my opinions.
