Yeah I know. I was talking about the college. ELD said it was 5 miles away and thus it would cost him $50 to go there unless he felt like walking all day.
It's wild that he will pay for airfares to go to these places and then limits himself to only what is walking distance from the airport because he doesn't want to spring for a car or for transport/fares etc.

Perhaps that's the reason for the sudden increase in trips away because he just can't stand being at his permanent address for any length of time. As delusional as ELD is; there's no escaping the fact that he's doing something wrong when that is the place he has to go back to.

I think you are spot on with this being the reason of the sudden massive increase in trips. At this point i woudnt be surprised if he doesent even have access to a toilet,that would make it a very unpleasant experience to spend any free time there. Peebottle okay,but when you need to take a dump drive to the closest 24/7 gas station,casino or whatever.
Even if he has a toilet, no shower+no kitchen or livingroom is pretty damn depressing when his bedroom is that small.
Either way we are getting golden content when he keeps going on these trips. If this continues with trips this often,we are in for a ride with peak Rice content.

I am from UK so I'm family with the meaning of the word lobby lol. My guess at the origin would be the opposite of yours and that the player is leaving the table to go to the lobby. Referring to a poker table as a lobby would be bizarre

Does Uber pick you up anywhere? I was in Vegas once getting In n Out when my car broke down. I called a cab company, but getting a taxi to pick you up at a place they don't usually go (casino, hotel, or airport) is an exercise in frustration. After waiting for an hour, I walked over to a nearby hotel and was sitting in a cab 10 minutes later.
Wait.... it is difficult to get a taxi to come to any address?? As someone who has lived in Europe/ Australia/ Asia this is totally wild. Can't believe this is a thing or has been a thing anywhere in USA (or any first world country) in past 30 years. Unless the address is in the middle of nowhere but that isn't the situation described
On a separate note as I've said in here before at some point rice will get a smart phone and realise how good it is. We will then be in for a number of peak rice videos where he explains the features and benefits of smart phones to his audience as if he is the first one to discover them and is speaking to the uninitiated

"Lobby" in the poker room context is a verb. "The dealer lobbied me" means the dealer turned off my comp clock.

I was specifically talking about Vegas, and the example I mentioned was the In n Out right next to Tropicana. It's probably a lot easier to get picked up if you're at least a couple miles away from the Strip. In Vegas, where cab drivers can be very busy sometimes, the call for a pickup is voluntary. They put the call on the radio, and drivers answer the call of not at their discretion.
