If you actually went to live in Iran and Russia, I would accept this viewpoint as genuine. Why in the world would you choose to live in the worst place in the world when it is quite easy to move? Tens of millions of people move every year for much less.

As much as I don’t like Glenn Greenwald… that may be the case but I don’t think we can make the judgment that he is “allowing them to advocate for white supremacy with little pushback”. The clip is way too short to make that judgment, and we can only see Fuentes’s remarks without Greenwald’s response. I’m not positively claiming he did push back, but it’s a pretty tough thing to say without seeing his response.
I do agree he has had a strange career arc though.

I can hardly believe that I'm defending Victor here, but it is not easy to move to Iran or Russia.
Actually it's not easy to legally move to pretty much any country in the world, and apart from the legal issues, it would be difficult for most people to be able to support themselves or do much of anything without being at least semi-fluent in the language, which is not easy for most people to do.
Also, I guarantee you that tens of millions of people every year are not moving to Iran, Russia, or every country not in the rich western states combined.

Kirk was not a grifter imo. I don't know of any examples of him inexplicably changing a position on something to get more donations.

Iran is actually probably fine as long as you keep your head down, stay in your lane and dont get the authorities interested in you. In the cities especially, most of the people are educated and cosmopolitan. But IF you get the authorities interested in you it could end very badly. It is a police state which is extremely aggressive with imprisonments and executions with anyone it considers a dissident or rabble rouser.
The boondocks of Russia on the other hand you would basically be living like an 18th century peasant. Just very poor with little resources or comforts. Due to population decrease and exodus of people moving to big cities, the "boondocks" of Russia are de-populating and deteriorating rapidly.
A lot of Russian natural resources are actually in sparsely populated areas that are hard to get to, and Russian infrastructure is falling apart and they are losing the ability to extract and move resources. If this trend continues they will probably need to continue selling land to China and/or hire Chinese firms to handle resource extraction and transportation logistics.

I could find years of enjoyment being a villager with enough electricity to play nintendo, grow vegetables, read books, maybe a lake or river nearby and hopefully a construction depot somewhere within an hours drive to keep myself from not freezing in my little Izba. The rest I'd almost find the challenge rewarding.
Of course, my wife would never, and this isn't realistic but I'd probably be happier than 98% of Americans who endured that life.

I have a similar situation to that with a probably much smaller lot, in a less desirable state than Montana but the one thing I have learned in recent years is that a little boredom is often a good thing and a sign of peace of mind.
Everything in the way the world has evolved in the last 10 years has both unsurprisingly seemed to at least in my mind, cause a lot of the depression in people and also happens to be the exact opposite type of life that I seem to enjoy
At some point, for some time, I will be going back to more simple living.

I call him a grifter because there are a lot of vids out there where he is calling himself an elitist and going in on poor people or people who work lower skilled jobs or the trades. But then when he sees the unpopularity of austerity he starts wearing flannel shirts and acting like he is sticking up for working people. He's slimy and slithering and just doesn't have the demeanor and consistency of an uncompromising, ideological racist like Don Black or David Duke. Those two would have had a very different stream after the Kirk killing whereas Nick is clearly trying to clean up his image there.

This is kinda the Chomskian view which I held until recently. It's rational. Israel is nothing compared to us, so it cannot be that they control us. But who do you think is responsible for laws saying you can't wear a t-shirt with certain pro Palestinian words on it in the U.K.? Or our bombing Yemen, or any number of asks which serve absolutely no purpose for us?

I get what you are saying and while I agree that Israel has outsize influence on the USA, especially on many individual politicians that are beholden to the genocidal entity, I still think that the true Western elites benefit. I see what you mean here in reference to the common Western citizen and it makes sense.
but I am talking about the interests of the Empire and the elites that control it. I dont think Israel and the Zionists control it and I think they will be cast aside (with the Jews as a whole being blamed) as soon as the costs of maintaing it are too great.
