I just watched it and he looks absolutely awful. He's gaining so much weight. He's going grey. It looks like he doesn't have time and/or money for a haircut. He is carrying the financial stress on his face. He just looks miserable but he's trying to put on a brave face.He's the last person on earth I'd want to be and more importantly, the last person on earth I'd ever take
In his latest video, Trooper does not sound like someone who is CRUSHING the penny slots. He sounds like somebody who is frustrated, and at the end of their rope.
In the alternative, maybe he IS making money, BUT he is "working" 12 hour days and making $3/hour+ comps when all is said and done. He also might have to deal with swings that are MUCH larger than what he wants, planned for, or can deal with.
I also suspect that Lady Trooper might be getting frustrated/scared of their situation. For Trooper, as long as he can pay the rent, put food in his belly and gas in his car, he is OK. Lady Trooper might want furniture, trips to Costco & sit down restaurants (& retirement account?). So she may be stressed out & adding to Trooper's stress levels.

Considering the life choices Trooper has made about the only thing he could possibly do to "turn things around" is get a job dealing cards. I can't see him waiting tables and we have all seen how his business savvy at running his own business always turns out.

Not really as far as i know. Its typical for autism to get absolutely obsessed with certain stuff or special kind of interests. For Rice examples are his obsession with math/numbers,breaking down his dealer shifts or paycheck in a million different ways or with his obsession regarding amount of pokerrooms played streak.
But bizarre freak behaviour like his pattern of spending time in places where he have zero reasons to be is really really weird. I have never heard of that sort of behaviour anywhere before.
I would much rather see him continue to fail and keep documenting the car crash. He is such an arrogant delusional clown that I don't even feel bad for saying i don't wish him well.
Everything about Trooper is a cautionary tale and as such should not have a happy ending. The haters were right all along and even he seems to slowly be grasping that even if his bluster and bravado will never allow him to say it out loud.

lol there was nothing of the sort. He showed zero footage of inside the casino itself. Just a slideshow of photos of the furnishings in the poker room and a photo of some random tiny sports bar.

M8trix is a fairly jazzy place inside. I've only been to Bay 101 once since they moved. It isn't as slick as M8trix.

Trooper has been pretty successful at everything he’s done since arriving in Vegas other than winning substantial amounts of money playing cards.
He’s done well on YouTube, with the Merch and hat hustle (coffee, etc.), dealing poker, trooper Thursday, and other things adjacent to his blog.
He found a nice woman who seems to love him, and they were even pretty successful with the candy business early on.
They tried to hit a home run with the candy and struck out and it really seems to have taken a big toll on him.
He doesn’t seem to be in a great place and pretty desperate.
Hopefully he is able to regroup, get a nice dealing job and live a happy normal life without thinking he has to prove something. I really think just doing that could start everything falling back into place for him and LT.
