Yeah, the correlation between money and players wanting to go there will be very high.
However I'm not sure how you value the impact of the guy on £200k a week no longer being served by the guy he was friendly with in the canteen because the company didn't fancy paying him £11/hour.

Revenues increasing is virtually meaningless when your balance sheet is as horrific as that article suggests.
It's more than the balance sheet, they can probably sustain a **** load of debt if they are run well, it's that you spend your revenues on stuff like the £100m fidget spinner, a rotund Brazilian pensioner or going to Ibiza for a banger of a weekend and deciding there when you've had a few Mick Mills and some expensive wine that you'll keep your failing manager for a while longer.
