For the first one, that is another case where something that even looks a lot like murder technically squeaks by as not being murder because it’s legal.
Personally I don’t like the definition of murder indexed to legality because I prefer to think of murder as unjustified pre-planned intentional killing rather than illegal pre-planned intentional killing. So in that sense we probably could call it murder colloquially even if it’s ruled “legal” by the law, which is often flawed.
In the second case, that could fall under war or it could also just be seen as an act of murder under international law war crime statutes, and sometimes by Israeli law itself which is just being ignored for insane political reasons.
What’s your evidence that all third trimester abortions are performed with a medical reason? While I see info saying that a medical reason is the most common reason, I don’t see it as being exclusive reason for abortion.
My evidence is that the third trimester is >28 weeks, and licensed medical professionals don’t perform them except in the cases of severe fetal anomalies or serious and immediate risks to the mother’s life. Elective third trimester abortion is non-existent in the US. Prove me wrong.

In any case it seems there is a disconnect between the belief that pregnant women have a full right to seek an abortion at any part of pregnancy and the argument that it should be legal to have elective abortions because no one does it anyway.
Also just so this doesn’t seem insanely one-sided on my part, I would rather elective abortions in the third trimester be legal than to make them so prohibitive to get as medical care such that the women who need them for health reasons or reasons of fetal abnormality can’t get them at all. I don’t want you to think I’m just being argumentative when I say that, I just genuinely think medical care for pregnant women is disgustingly lacking in this country.
Even people who are pro-choice do not believe in abortion post-viability. That’s a fringe belief that is medically practiced nowhere in this country, and the assertion that it is a widespread behavior by women to electively abort viable babies is in itself misogynistic. Women are not killing their babies. We do not need government intervention in this regard. This fear alone reflects a deep mistrust of women’s moral and emotional judgment, that women will abuse their autonomy capriciously, that oversight is needed. Concerns about widespread elective third trimester abortions are nothing more than projection and moral panic, and I won’t entertain this healthy 8 month or 9 month abortion idea as anything more than it is- ignorant bullshit from men who think women deserve second-class moral agency over their own bodies.

This as reasoning to support abortion rights is going to be more and more problematic as the years go by and technology improves. Viability already comes quite a bit earlier than it used to. I suppose you could add "without the use of technology", but some technology is used on many babies that were not premature.

Have you seen some of the personal comments SRM has made? Telling people to kill them self. Telling people to suck on his you know what. It's disturbing that there are certain people in here who are being enabled. These same people clearly have issues outside of here. If they act like this in these forums imagine what they are like in real life. Some people think it's funny but it's not good to egg on folks who might have severe anger management issues. It's similar to a bar that decides to no longer serve an alcoholic. At some point you have to force the issue for their own sake.
