Unlike soccer where they just plaster company names on the chest. The whole game is a commercial.

Lol. Don’t pretend that you actually care about this, or that it’s somehow worth adding 1hr+ to the broadcast time.

Football, it was once said, combines the two things Americans love best - committee meetings and violence.

Let's say a child is excluded from his peers at a playground because of his skin-color. It should not matter what his skin color was when determining how bad this is.

have you ever once witnessed this occur in real life?

You don’t think that kids have ever been racist on a playground?

have you ever witnessed it?

Yes, I witnessed racism in Oklahoma public schools lol

I knew a guy who used to yell the n word at random black kids and delighted in their depleted spirits

Yes rick, there was racism in 8th/9th grade, what are you even disputing here?

I think he’s nitpicking in the “playground” aspect, like monkey bars and whatnot. There are a lot of schools that don’t really have playground equipment for the upper grades.

Little kids are typically much better about that stuff. From my limited experience of both being a child and substitute teaching for 2 years, learned prejudices usually start creeping in around 4th and 5th grade. Middle school and high school are rife with all forms of bullying, including racism.

Popular up to a point in the US, but nowhere else, since the game is entirely designed and premised around commercial breaks (18 per game, I believe), hence its deeply undynamic and tiresome stop-start nature.

It's becoming more popular around the world as other countries become more Americanized. Look at all the international games this year.

American football is a lot more fun to watch than soccer. Soccer has more breaks with all the fake injuries. Also, people want to see scoring not 1-0 games.

Soccer and American football are both fine as sports. Soccer may even be more fun to watch in a vacuum, especially if you are there.

But gambling on American football is 10X better and more fun than soccer, mainly because then increased complexity and moving parts. So here we are.

nailed

when you use imagery of children ostracizing others on the basis of race on the monkey bars you're specifically talking about a group of children no older than 12 at the extreme really honing in on 5-8 age range - in which case you're not going to see that kind of imagined behavior

i wouldn't disagree that coordi witnessed racism in the 8th and 9th grades, but that's not the age that people are running around the playground waiting to go down the slide like td used in his fake example

This is an absurd take. Displaying racist behavior is learned, not innate. Children learn from their parents. If you have bad parents it takes a long time (if ever) to learn that they're teaching you what not to be. Kids are the most vile and evil creatures as many haven't yet learned what not to be. They may not be racist by whatever contortion you are trying to twist out of this, but they display racist behavior more openly than any other group I've ever encountered. I witnessed racism daily in elementary school on the playground. Including many fights and slurs in grade school.

Grade school kids aren’t vile and evil; they are just mirrors of their parents at that age

As a rule, I agree.

But there are also 'vile and evil' kids who don't act in accordance with how they were brought up. A lot of that has to do with who kids associate with at school. The vast majority of kids these days are at school far more than they are in the presence of their parents.

Racists like Rick are almost cute when they try to ignore the fact that racism has existed for so many centuries...

Trolls like BobtheSlob are almost cute when they think they've made some edgy, cutting putdown of a poster who posts far more real content than all the trolls put together.

and more of the same, for someone who claims to be a health nut you now feign ignorance of knowing how locker rooms operate

Why do you gotta look at a bunch of dicks to be a health nut? Running is my sport and while I come across runners pissing out their asses, I don't try to cop a look at their junk. For lifting, I have a home gym with Rogue racks/benches and Eleiko plates/barbells so no need to hang around gyms checking out dicks.

I also dont believe in capital punishment for drug offenses.

I dont know if he is confusing me with someone else; but if he is I don't know who it would be if it wasn't you.

I could be confusing you for someone else. Dunno with you guys and 30 accounts and chit. I'm sure Lucy will be easy to spot once he sets up a new account, though.

What offenses do you believe should be capital offenses?

I have to admit, I did not expect so many of you to be into fitness..

Is that possible?

They had to explain to you that Travis Kelce was a TE?

Interestingly, they did not have to explain it to me. But they did anyway. People explain things to me all the time that I already understand. all the time.

Ever since I became of age where guys were of interest, I have lingered around guys playing football and basketbal. I have a lot of thoughts about football. in fact , in the 2024 super bowl thread on 2p2 I correctly predicted the winner and patiently explained why I thought Travis /Taylor relationship would last. I feel I have a lot of great thoughts about football.

What I dont have is the ability to talk about football aggressively in front of a tv screen for hours and watch sports analysts all day.

When I played basketball briefly I practiced picks, rolls, dribbling drills, screens, shoooting drills etc a lot.

C'mon, every guy online is into the gym and has a super high IQ and a huge cock.
