POG Politics Thread Version 3
Come on in! Since Dustin is taking his ball and going home, it's time to start a new politics thread.
why do people hate Elon? cuz he's a genius who's saving the world! that's why we hate him?
Because you guys are jealous of his success.
Elon just keeps winning and winning and winning...
One of Adam Carolla and Joe Rogan is not the dumbest of the Man Show hosts, which is quite impressive.
(In before Mark takes a break from verbally fellating Elon to say "actually Jimmy Kimmel is dumber than both hurr durr")
Jimmy Kimmel IS dumber than both hurr durr!
By a wide margin.
It's sad that money is everything to Mark.
Capitalism will keep going until the collapse of human civilization because of climate change. Even if there's some massive revolution, I think capitalism survives - the power it gives the winners, and the promise it offers to the people without money that they could become a winner is too enticing.
Mark_K
soulless money hungry nazi
😆 :p
you guys got Mark all wrong. he's just a semi Nazi :p ♥
too many emojis
In the 10 steps of fascism death camp stage follows hyperbole stage. Followed by the non sequitur stage.
Those stages appear to be mixing Latin and Greek who designed this.
First was Comey, now Letitia James. If you dig long enough...
Interesting paper on our road infrastructure. Data was pulled from Uber (!!!).
Amp, you can now rest easy...
The agreement, which Hegseth announced alongside Qatari Minister of Defense Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at the Pentagon, will allow Qatari pilots to receive training alongside U.S. soldiers. There are no foreign military bases in the U.S., but some foreign militaries do maintain a presence for training. The Singaporean Air Force also has a presence at the Mountain Home base.
Inshallah
all the Nazi bases on US soil(stolen land) are USA bases!
I'm violating my self imposed ban of not posting when too high, so i can make this post

Capitalism is just a series of rationalizations for violently monopolizing resources.
Resources belong to ALL the people. If there's a big wad of cadmium, you don't get to draw a circle around it and export it for your own profit. The people come together, erase the line, and it benefits everyone.
How does that work in practice scaled to billions of people? It doesn't. It's like asking what's the proper way to herd a billion cats. You'll use your Power to hoard resources and we'll use ours to take them.
Looting is the most horrific thing to a Capitalist, it's the complete breakdown of social norms that keep the game running. This is why you will keep hearing any protesting tied to "burning cities" and tied directly to terrorism. A protest is a heartbeat from a Goods Liberation Event.
People draw circles around resources all the time! Unless you meant that is your personal view.
I'm highly skeptical anti riot news has any real connection with capitalism. Maybe specifically things like the 99% wall street protest but mostly people don't want society to break down completely and would rather things churn along even if they suck. Also it's just newsworthy and news needs clicks.
In principle, the relationship of "belonging" involves the intertwining of one's personage with a thing.
In practical terms, a thing only "belongs" to a person when that person can forcibly keep it from others.
Wealth-holding legislators have devised a notion of "ownership" to fuse these two aspects of belonging ( labor + law = ownership ), but in truth "labor" is frequently not personal and law is not evenly en-force-d. Thus "ownership" increasingly distances from "belonging". A protest is a saturnalian eruption of pent-up disjointedness which provides cathartic relief. It is not a real threat and does not effect real change.
If anything, Capital thrives on these periodic releases. Revolution occurs when the social pressure release valves are sealed, resulting in a build-up too great for the structure to withstand.
