2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Other than Tonges (not in my player pool). It looks nice
Tonges is one of my highest drafted TEs this week haha. Why don't you like him?
I like him in DFS, but he doesn't quite make the cut in BR and WC. Just this strategy I've been working on.
This is my player pool for the BRs.
My last 3 teams. A lot of value on Team 2. I would've preferred Dowdle and/or White on Team 3, but they both got pulled up ahead of me.
They're fun.
I'm ending up with so much Judkins since I like him way more than the guys who go right behind him. I'm barely drafting Henry, Etienne, KW, etc.
Lol, what? It's obvious he was going to be good, but we should also sell? Why would you sell the ascending rookie doing exactly what we want to see in fantasy? Yes, his QB could get injured, he could get injured, the offense could negatively regress, etc. Should I sell Puka for the same concern? His QB had a bad back coming into the season, and Puka has a long history of inj
Two things can be true in fantasy. It's obvious he was gonna be good but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't see what you can get for him. His value will never be higher. I think he is a fragile fantasy asset going forward for reasons I stated. I'm thrilled to have him on my best ball teams. I'd 100% be selling if I had him in redraft. He had a nice game but he did it with Jalen Carter out and Tracy being eased back in. They caught the Eagles at the right time. They are a bad team right now. Trust me, he will get injured, his QB will get injured and this offense will negatively regress. It's going to happen.
You must have been drunk when you gave the Puka example. I'll give you a pass on that one. I will answer your question. No you shouldn't sell the probably fantasy MVP for the same concern. That would be silly wouldn't it?
I was wasted. But I ain’t selling Skattebo.
How did people allow Tyler Warren to fall to round 10 in drafts? Was this not obvious that Warren would be great just like Bowers last year?
So obvious
Haskins went for $24 in my league (me, Hampton owner)
Vidal went for $2
So obviously, Haskins will work out. 😃
What the fudge
Vidal was not claimed on waivers - he's gotta be worth a pickup for free until we see just how bad the LAC running game gonna be in the short term right?
Bosco pls tell me you did this
These WR injuries are so brutal.
Nice! Congrats!
You got lucky missing on Love here. This is gonna be a Jacobs game. This could be a one or two TD game by the Packer defense against the statue/turnover machine Flacco. I do not get the excitement for Jordon Love this week. There are just too many ways this game can go. Sure he could have a huge game. I think it's more likely he has an okay game. I also think it's quite likely
This one was pretty obvious I thought.
I was actually in 1st for a short period, but not too shabby for only doing 13 entries.
Spoiler
Nice hit, yo! I was just scrolling the LB and saw your name and said oh ****, so came here next haha. Boosting that bankroll.
I cashed for about 2/3rds of entries this week. Onto the next one.

Thanks. I was glad to see the guy who won used all the players I had in my player pool so I think my process is on the right track. Although, ironically DK wasn't in my player pool, but I ended up with him on my best team.
Yup, no scroll downs this week.
Chalk QB1 with chalk WR hits.
He had to have drafted that lineup early in the week.
I’m guessing it went from the 1.04:
Jacobs
JSN
Pickens
Dak
Warren
Dowdle
Basically impossible for most of the week.
A couple of sit/start situations messed me up in my season long leagues today.
1. Were there any experts out there that had Vidal over Haskins? I scooped up alot of both of them in my leagues but started Haskins. I didn't see anyone who spoke of Vidal being the starter.
2. I had Packers kicker Brandon McManus starting and when I go to check my scores, he is showing up as injured and didn't play. I did see the Questionable tag on him, but didn't see any news about a possible injury on NBC Sports Fantasy/Rotoworld, which is check multiple times daily. Did anyone else get messed up by this situation?
Also is JSN just the #1 valued ROS WR in fantasy now?
Now hold up your somewhat twisting what I was saying here. Lets look at the quotes.
LFG Hunter!!!
I'm so hyped for him that I'll be watching the Jags v Panthers match instead of Red zone.
Also my hot take for this year is that he really hurts BTJ value. I still see BTJ finishing ahead of him for the season but predict him to be in the 10-15 WR range
Also I don't believe the back half of the season was a fluke by BTJ but I think it was more of a situation vs talent scenario. I just dont think he should be going ahead of guys like London and if I had him in dynasty just now I'd love to trade down to a JSN right now
Now while Hunter hasn't hit the ground running and I am disappointed with his usage my takes regarding BTJ have been pretty accurate so far though I will agree it's not cause of Hunter taking volume from him and more his drops and questionable QB play.
Now let me remind you that you said this
I think BTJ is top 5 no matter what if he doesn't get hurt. He tore up the league last year in the back half of the season with Mac Jones at QB. It's too similar to saying Chase won't be as good if Higgins is there. I realize TLaw isn't Burrow but still can't see it having that drastic of an effect when you have a guy as talented as BTJ

Pete just reviewed this team, and he had access to the full draft board. It was not drafted earlier in the week. From the 1.04, it went
JSN (ADP 5)
Jacobs (4)
Pickens (10)
Dowdle (15)
Warren (17)
Dak (17)
I guess not super unreasonable. Nez was actually in the draft haha.
Some unique notes are:
-Bryce/Tet at 5/8.
-Rachaad, Adams, McBride, Chase taken ahead of Pickens.
-Egbuka also fell to 12 in this room, which I basically never saw.
-Jake Ferguson fell to 29 and went to the Bryce drafter, so allowed the Dak fall to 33.
-Henry taken ahead of Dowdle.
-Kyren also fell to 20 in this room, one spot ahead of Dowdle.
-Maye pulled up to 19 with Diggs at 18
-Ladd/Olave pulled up to 23/26.
Sometimes you just have to be in the right room. I, and many others, probably would have drafted that exact team in the same spot.
I hate my team, jimmy lol. It's not bad, but I wanted different players.
Start QB/2RB/2WR/TE/Flex
Maye
Conner, Harvey, Jones, Skattebo, Etienne, Ekeler
Nabers, Puka, Reek, Golden, Mooney
Kittle
Plus D + K.
I fear for Puka.
I knew I hated this team lol. Obviously bad injury variance.
I think Reek just made my no draft list. Poor guy.
I regret to inform you, Puka was not safe. I also started Ridley this week. And last week, I lost Slayton and Shrader the kicker from Indy lol.
I'm not sure I've ever had such an insane weekly run of injuries. And the funny thing is, I'll be 4-2 and one of the highest scoring teams in the league. Skattebo, Dowdle, and Rachaad holding it down.
Hoping I can piecemeal some WR starters, but it's been rough.
