I don't get why your leaving, the 2 5 plays bigger than most places. I've seen 10k stacks at 1-2 plo in Dallas MTS (not that uncommon). I get it no exact limits you like, but games play big there.

There will be certain individuals in these games who are constantly pressuring and harassing others to put the straddle on.

Now, the straddle getting to $320 is a VERY rare occurence, as are 20-30K stacks, but I HAVE seen it.

But there are typically plenty of times that the 1/2/5 is a 1/2/5/10/20 and sometimes 40/80

It's unlimited straddles from UTG to the button AND match the stack.

I've tried explaining to the rooms out here how bad it is to allow the entry-level games to play so much bigger. There's no way newcomers to PLO can sit without getting wrecked too quickly. So the fish dry up and we're left with tons of Euros and Aussies with no social skills who are very strong opponents infesting the games instead.

Deeper buyins, straddles, match the stack, all extra edges for the pros. They're never happy, they always have to try to push for additional things to help them scoop up money more quickly, and the room operators aren't smart enough to realize what's best for their own business model long-term, they side with the vocal grinder crowd and allow the fun recs to go broke and never return.

Out in Austin and just helped get 2 known cheats banned that I helped get banned in Tampa FL about 5 years ago. They've been caught all over the country marking cards and they typically focus on PLO games to my understanding.

In this video I break down the history I'm aware of, provide receipts so it's not just me making up some allegations, provide the photos I have of them (one is good, one is not) and detail exactly how they're marking cards so room operators can be on the lookout and players can protect themselves.

They've been getting away with this for at least 6 years in different venues, and I'd like to make it as difficult as possible for them to find new honey holes to take advantage of.

So if you're able to help my video with engagement (likes/comments) or sharing it, it would help immensely in getting this spread far and wide to keep these scumbags off the felt.

Oak Cliff Card Club was pushing a tournament in November on their socials that was their "last chance" tournament before they "moved."

They haven't updated their socials since then, or their website in even longer. I assume any move has probably fallen through, and they're just done? Anyone have any info?

If I had someone there to help me out I might do it. If there are 2 or 3 people that don't want to straddle at the table or venue, then it's much more manageable than if I'm the only one. I didn't get much positive feedback when I refused to straddle in the past. And a lot of recs got upset about it also. I mostly don't want to upset the recreational players.

Because the pressure is that strong, I suggest if you want to play and not straddle, have some back up. Unless you're very comfortable not being liked.

Well said. Unfortunately when rooms solicit feedback, it's the grinders who tend to be the ones giving it. And they'll slit their own throats pushing for all the game edges to be in their favor, not realizing their short-term focus hurts their long-term returns.
