Well, you’re one of the most overly emotional posters on this site. Then you are projecting well reasoned decisions as overly emotional on the one female moderator that you know of, which is very typical.

No the problem is how men treat women in places like afghanistan. And how gay men are treated by straight men in most countries of the world. If all men hated all men, then no one would hate men.

I would love to see examples of this "overly emotional" posting. You clearly made that up to support your latest post.

This isn't rocket science, guys.

There is a large school of thought that says white people making sweeping generalizations about black people, for example, is more pernicious than black people making sweeping generalizations about white people. Ditto for men and women making sweeping generalizations about each other, straight and LGBTQ people making sweeping generalizations about each other, etc. The reasons have to do with our shared history, current and historical power structures, and various other factors. I agree with this school of thought.

There is a smaller, but not trivially small, school of thought that says that sweeping generalizations that out of power groups make against in power groups are beneficial or at least rarely problematic for the same reasons. I understand this school of thought, but I don't necessarily agree with it, and I'm pretty certain that I don't agree with it to the extent that, say, CN probably does.

And then there is the common sense observation that you probably should be able to brush off generalizations about straight white guys if you are a straight white guy because straight white guys still have it plenty good. I definitely subscribe to this view.

I think you over analyze things.

Most of your views range from pathetic to laughable to offensive imo, but I wouldn't say you are overly emotional. In my experience, you have more of a sense of humor about yourself than some conservatives here.

I certainly have a sense of humor about myself. But then, I have a truckload of material to work with.

I’m glad you realized you were being emotional and hateful in your original post and changed it for the better. It’s ok to be emotional, but try to be more logical and less hateful.

It’s just wild to be lectured over misandry given the breadth and scope of things said to and about me/women since I’ve been in this forum.

This is a moderation thread. People are reacting to moderation decisions and bans. There is obvious bias and hypocrisy. That is being confronted. If there wasn't obvious bias and hypocrisy, this would be a great spot to address it.

Crossnerds sexist comments don't bother anyone, the hypocrisy does. It's one thing to have a hypothetical hypocrisy*, it's another to moderate that way. Oh you're criticizing college girls for using abortion as birth control... insert gymnastics, slut shaming, ban

The bias is absolutely ridiculous. Posters are being called date rapists etc with no consequence. On the other hand I told the local spazz he's not ready to be a father and to at least practice deep breathes and aligning his chakras first. Of course crossnerd deleted the comment directed at her "friend" because snowflake goes around insulting everyone but is to mentally fragile to handle a tiny sample of their own medicine

How about this? I’m going to continue to ban people for overtly misogynistic comments and rhetoric, as well as comments about posters mental health or deeply personal situations that they’ve chosen to share. And I won’t feel bad about it at all. So if you don’t want to get banned, don’t do those things.

Not sure what else we’re talking about here other than the usual suspects attempting to relitigate their previous temps.

Just checking. No one is actually confused about the rules, they just know they can badger you until you quit by endlessly asking you to explain the rules to them again, to re-litigate why this other guy didn't catch a ban, and etc. etc.

I agree also. But by your own words, both are pernicious and I think shouldn't happen.
