In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there a
There are parts of wikipedia that have biased framing, and there is sometimes bias in what is omitted, but it is incredibly rare for what is actually included to not be supported by relevant citations. I also believe that the level of bias is nowhere near as strong as you claim. If something more objective came about that would be good but from the handful of articles I've rea
It depends on how politicized the topic is. The more politicized it is, the more Wikipedia will be biased and omit information in a very predictable far left leaning manner. For example, if you guessed on the Sars-Cov-2 entry, in the "Origin of Virus" section there would be no mention at all of the Wuhan Institute of Virology as a possible (if not extremely likely) origin, you would be absolutely correct. This section of the Wiki might as well have been written by Xi, it omits so much that isn' convenient to the narrative.
Wikipedia has first mover advantage and it’s fit for purpose, but I always found the superusers distasteful for my liking.
I don’t think replacing it with a bot wiki controlled by a real life Lex Lither is the solution.
Sure. I pretty much agree. We have plenty of evidence at this point that Elon is flat out lying whenever he says that he is doing anything to limit political or media bias. That is never, and I mean never, his true motivation.

His game seems to be that whenever Grok shares information he doesn’t like he will “fix” it by making it say whatever his point of view on the subject is.

I had high hopes for Elon on the free speech thing but he turned out to be like the left Free Speech that I like only guy
There is a massive difference between the left attacking people for using language they don't like vs literal super villains rigging the system
This fundamental disconnect between how republicans perceive reality and what actual reality is drives most of resentment towards right wingers.
All of your equivalencies are false, and frankly, borderline ******ed
One is free speech acting as intended while the other is the systemic stifling of free speech by someone with more power and money than god
"I might be poor and uneducated but my political and philosophical ideologies align with the richest man in the world"
top kek tbh

No, Lozen is right. People are ok with rigging when its for their side, and for "free speech" when the other side has control. Same thing with the ability to spot dementia and cognitive decline. All the people who couldn't see it a year ago magically figured out how to recognize it, and vice versa. Politics is getting boring to me.
But people (Dems to you) DID figure out the dementia thingy last year.

Yeah politics is boring when you are above it all
Or maybe you are starting to slowly realize that your enlightened centrist position of "kamala had an annoying laugh" is starting to backfire in the face of overwhelmingly destructive policy with no end in sight
I sure hope its the 2nd because the first is hard core cope
about a decade ago i was reading a wiki entry on badgers and was shocked to see included in the wiki that they were commonly eaten in china
this surprised me, given that i'd never once seen it on any menus - i thought perhaps there's some region that eats them so i checked and no, zero results, even searching their versions of amazon, you wouldn't be able to find badger meat
so i edit it and remove the passage
a few days later it's back, i'm told that i need to provide a citation proving that it's not commonly eaten in china - i explain that this entails the same level of difficulty as providing a news article that definitely states americans don't eat badger - there's just no reason for such an article to exist because it's that preposterous
that falls on death ears
i then check the link, and lo and behold it leads to a british shaving brush company - a literal product description (all good shaving brushes are made of badger hair) that tries to reassure their prospective british clients that it's humane to buy badger hair brushes because the chinese eat them all the time anyway and we are just converting what would otherwise be a waste product into shaving brushes
it took a few weeks, but i eventually won - but it was an exhausting experience where refuting what was clearly absolute nonsense was so difficult precisely because it was so absurd there was no way to refute it using their standard practices
Badger farms are relatively common in China. I would assume those badgers are regularly eaten
I guess you could argue the semantics of "commonly"
oh yeah, the hairs and furs for most products in the world are raised on farms in china - but they solely exist for that purpose and while i'm sure the meat is not wasted - the far likelier outcome would be to convert it to animal feed
the wiki entry made it appear like badger was on all the menus and thank god we have altruistic shaving brush companies who pick clean the carcasses rather than let it go to waste

Only because you gracious MAGAs showed the world where to look, thanks a lot and now you can apply your teachings to your dear leader.

Trump is launching military attacks overseas and only telling Republicans about it.
This is banana-republic authoritarianism wrapped in a flag.
Secret military actions.
No Democratic oversight.
Legal justifications hidden from Congress.
That’s how democracies fall.
If a president can bomb foreign targets and only brief his political loyalists, what’s next?
The guiding by the arm in Japan seemed pretty dementia-y to me, if we update on the signs that Biden was showing, which were similar. He also seems to have a lot of his material written for him. Signing stuff you don’t read in your own hand is not exactly impressive stuff, as anyone that knows about elder abuse would attest.
People need to quit thinking about cognitive decline as binary. Almost everyone Trump's age has experienced some level of cognitive decline. It's just a question of how much. FWIW, Trump's cognitive decline would have to be very significant for that to be the main reason why he is unfit to be president. He would have been profoundly unfit at any age.
You also have to remember that he was famously a dumbass in his younger days.
How would you even tell if trump has dementia?

I don’t see how anyone could think this is okay and totally normal.
