Regarding the abusing of the EDR you are surely spot on. Likely its just a matter of time before something gets done and makes his eating partys in the EDR coming to an end. All it takes is that one wrong person will catch one of his videos where he boasts and slams himself on the chest on how smart he is that is eating food enough for 3-4 persons before each shift.

That is, I VERY strongly suspect that a lot of skools are letting people in and passing them as long as their checks clear AND they make an honest attempt to pass. I very strongly suspect that academic standards have been lowered through the years.

Rice supposedly went to Law Skool AND Cornell? What has he done in his life that shows his vast education? He was a poker professional in the top 1% making like $7 to $8 hour.

Rice has no business acumen, no investing skills, no legal license. He can deal, but that does not require anything other than a high school diploma for that.

In essence, his "education" was a total and complete waste. The skools couldn't see that he was poor candidate? OR that his check would clear and that is the A#1 factor?

He's good at memorizing and regurgitating. I'm sure we all know book smart people who are dumb as hell in real life. They get good grades but don't understand anything and don't know how to actually think. Then when the get in the real world they fall flat on their face.

You're right schools do push kids through with barely passing grades but I'm sure in his case he did get good grades at least through hs.

ELD would have gotten a high score on the Verbal portion of the SAT.

He should run for Congress. He's no dumber than most of them, and NY seems to like freaks like him. Their cafeteria probably lets him take THREE plates if he wants.

He dogmatically enforces his own rubric at the tables when he is dealing. Even in his last video he mentioned that a big argument/misunderstanding ensued because he decided to deal out a player who didnt have his small blind posted.

Several times before at PH his table broke because he decided to be a stickler for the rules and got offside with the one whale at the table who was keeping the game together. I remember a couple of times it was regarding a whale adding too much chips to their stack, another time it was because he thought they were talking about him in a foreign language. Another time he had a problem with them all agreeing to a PLO double bomb pot, because it was a NLH table. Then there was the "offensive slurs" being used at the table but not directed at anyone in particular, he decided to kick up a fuss about that so that table broke as well.

Basically Rice loves enforcing rules and rubrics that no other dealer would ever enforce. He does it because he enjoys doing it, even if it might cost him tips (or wages if the table breaks)

I find it so hilarious that Free Gyro Day was cancelled both times in October and both times Rice was super amped for it. He even mentioned it multiple times before it came up on the calender. And now it has been permanently removed from the EDR Calendar altogether for November. It would be so amazing if someone at PH was deliberately screwing with him lol

so basically in a few months of dealing he's managed to absolutely ruin games he was dealing at several times already and that's just ones he's told us about that. Of course this isn't the least bit surprising. He'll swear he was right every single time and have learned nothing from any of this.

And yet - if the tables were turned and he was a player where a dealer deliberately dealt out the SB, he would be on about that dealer slowing down the game due to the resulting floor call/lengthy resolution of the issue the dealer caused.

Iow, the rubric is situation-dependent and subject to adjustment.

There are a few dealers I'll never tip again and I'm sure if I played with him dealing he'd make the list for crap like this.

It makes sense though. He ruins any game he plays in might as well do the same dealing. Then he can sit at a dead spread muttering to himself how he got the rubric right.

This made me picture Rice as an overzealous casino Security Guard, hehe. Telling patrons that they're blocking walkways eventhough they're not. Telling slot players that they cannot just sit at the machines eventhough they're digging for money to play with. Etc.

I guess the "gambling for a living" as Pooper boasts about isnt all flowers and sunshine. As mentioned before in this thread this is their main channel for getting donations/hand outs,so they are clearly in need of money.
