but if I understand how it went down(which probably I don't understand), they didn't execute every Nazi soldier who followed illegal orders to kill kids(like basically same as usa soldiers), just cuz it was too much trouble to go through, and also a bad look to round up and execute maybe millions of poor soldiers and execute them.
but according to the letter of the law they were guilty of crimes where the appropriate punishment(according to them) was execution
and also it would get messy if they're rounding poor Nazi soldiers and executing them for following orders to kill innocent kids, but not punishing USA soldiers who dropped nukes on Japanese kids, and fire bombs, and napalm on German kids
