2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
The Broncos have resigned Lil Jordan Humphrie. This will relieve Pat Bryant of his blocking duties and allow him to catch more passes. I would play 100% Pat if I played DFS this week. I think a 6/90 and two TD's could be in order.
I don't really start looking at the Main slate until Friday or Saturday, but other than QJ in Week 1, the Chiefs have pretty much shut down every WR they've faced.
Top 3 teams from the 2Q contest
1st place
- 2 of 3 QBs were unstacked
- only 1 team stack
- 3 game stacks including 2 players from the MNF game (JCM/Rice)
- 4 players with a week 8 bye including 2 early picks (JSN/Puka)
2nd place
- 1 of 3 QBs unstacked (the 2 that were stacked were with 3 players each)
- 4 team stacks
- 0 game stacks
- 1 player with a week 8 bye
3rd place
- 1 of 2 QBs were unstacked
- 3 team stacks
- 3 game stacks
- 0 players with a week 8 bye
I am down to 2 out of my 5 guillotine leagues. It has been a learning experience and I plan to play in these again next year. Way more fun (and strategic!) than normal fantasy leagues. I lost my first team in week 5 due to a combination of byes, inhuries and poor planning on my part around those byes. Even still I only lost by a point and would have been in good shape had I
Lost team B last week. General underperformance across the board but mainly because I started Bowers (megabust!) over McBride (big week!). So I am down to one of 5 guillotine teams and this week a win this week puts you in the money.
I am loving this format and have learned a bunch now that I have actually played it. Hopefully my lone survivor can make some money. But at this point it is a crap shoot with all teams being loaded. I feel even my bench team would be competitive and it all comes down to who hits and who misses. I will have Jefferson, Henry, Mahomes etc riding the pine this week and any of them could have a huge week while one of my actual starters could blow.
I will be playing a bunch of these next year now that I have more of an idea on how it will play out.
I don't think you should be that confident in it. Harrison is going to be out for a few weeks with appendicitis and the rest of your WR's haven't been performing

I know you have your finger on the pulse with the broncos but Franklin seems to command a lot of targets, Sutton is still the number 1 and engram laying around are there really that many targets left for Bryant?
Yeah that KC-DEN game might just be a stay away for the most part. But I was going to have any significant exposure to a Broncos WR, it would be Franklin. I think he matches up the best against them.

I don't think the Broncos are totally happy with Franklin. He drops too many balls and runs a lot of wrong routes. Bryant was being used as a blocker more because he is a very good blocker. Sean Payton is very intentional with the moves he makes. He is bringing in LJH to help with the WR screen game and to free up Bryant for more targets. With Dobbins out I think the Broncos will have to throw more. I think Pat gets at least 6 targets in this one and he catches everything. I think he will have a solid floor here. Mims is back but he doesn't get a ton of targets but he can be very efficient with them. Sutton will get his. Engram hasn't shown much.

This is why I like Pat. Most people will play Franklin. Give me Pat at a super low 3100 price compared to the more owned Franklin at 5400. I remember when I had 40% Franklin earlier this year at sub 1% ownership. I think we will see the same thing with Pat.
The Broncos badly needed some rest. The mini bye is exactly what they needed. Denver has won 7 games in the last 39 days which is the most wins in that time span. Payton opted not to take their by after the London game. I think it has reflected in their play the past few weeks. I think Denver plays much better this week.
Well I have 0 Bryant, so maybe one of us will win.
I see you also ate the Warren chalk.
The answer to what could go wrong was everything haha
Frustrating week of fantasy for me. Projected to lose in every league unless I get a big week from Dak and CD in a couple of leagues.
Just frustrating when someone the answers were Micheal Wilson and Gainwell
Should advance 2/4 to the 3Q Finals barring a massive game from either Jeanty or Bowers tomorrow night. 2nd needs 69 from Jeanty. 4th needs 115 from Bowers.
Spoiler
A little more of a potential sweat. 4th needs 43 from Bowers.
Spoiler
Nice! My 3 teams are dead. I do still have Bowers/Javonte on one in 4th, but I'm -51.20 on first who is done, -49.20 on second who still has Tucker and needs +5.6 for him to hit the lineup, and -25.48 on 3rd who is has Jeanty and needs +6.50 for him to hit the lineup and has Thornton and needs +5.70 for him to hit the lineup.
My best team scored 127.74 and was no match for the first place team who scored 150.80. But that team would currently be in 1st in both of my other pods. Even hit the Gainwell game that one.

I hope you find a way to beat me in the 2025 startup league haha. I need to be last place for the highest lottery odds. My team is finally putting up some nice weeks in that league. It's been a battle.
I'm rooting for 35 points from CD to beat jimmy in our 2p2 dynasty league. But I don't see Vegas pushing them enough for that to happen.

You'll get'em in the 4th Q
I like both my teams since they have Henderson. Hoping Mondre is out again so he can get all the work against the Bengals.
Then both teams have a mini MNF stack with Bryce/TMac/Kittle and CMC/TMac.
Sounds like fun teams. I guess the only downside is all the chalk, but that’s sort of a byproduct of making the finals. Hopefully you can have a strong finish!

Yeh I really need the win this week, was my fault for looking at this week as a kind if bye week. Your teams picking up some steam a bit too early for you. Could be a monster team next year, especially if you get the no.1 pick
Jeremiyah Love would look mighty nice on that team.
Did anybody else play .06% owned Pat Bryant this week? Getting almost 14 points from a 3100 dollar player at that low ownership is pretty nice. I had 100% Pat.
I don't come in here often with predictions but when I do I got something good. I hope you guy's wise up so you can win some money.
Are you saying I'm smarter than these guys? I'm better than the solver mass entry get lucky once in a blue moon guys? I think I am.
I gave you guy's a freebie and you let your egos choose to ignore it. I gave you my thought process which was spot on. My ability to pick players out of nowhere is unmatched.
This thread was so much better when you were banned .
