Kinda a drunkish update Flight was crap, never use Virgin they are just the nut low. Especially their upper class Stupidly long queue to get at a room at the horseshoe. No one was organising anything either that just made it worse. A hour I will never get back

Guess you didn't know you can check-in online and pick up the key at a kiosk.

Stupidly dump 1500 back on the craps table only to switch to bubble craps and get my first hand pay of the trip.

Save to say I am done and my brain can't write

How do you get a handpay at bubble craps?

Fair warning, be ready to catch some grief about that hot dog.

Like 'pig4bill' said, always use the self-check in kiosks at Horseshoe. That said, the line might have been long even for those?

Why was flight & Virgin crap? Sure, the company is woke AF (which is bad obviously), but I have never had a bad experience onboard their flights from/to Vegas.

PS: Nice handpay ๐Ÿ˜€

More handpays. God they take so long!!

Just hit this make them all

Booked in for the spa at Caesars, then it's grid walk, garage tour at the F1.

Will write more then.

Is Battista’s Hole in the Wall back open?

That’s the Italian place next to Stage Door. My favorite dinner break spot at the WSOP.

I heard they closed because of asbestos ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That handpay was for a single decision? Nice! What kind of bet? They didn't have those newfangled bets back when I played craps.

Good news for you; seems they reopened yesterday:

This flight with Virgin was the nut low. Staff on the flight were not very attentive. My biggest gripe of it all was after I had eaten I was shattered so went to sleep. There was no sheet etc so I asked one of the staff who just replied "it's behind your seat". Look I know some people would not know that but I had already checked and she looked really put off when I had told her I had checked and it's not there.

Basically she was more interested in chatting to these "influencers" about make up tips etc the whole trip. Anyway 30 mins later she finally rocks up with some more bedding so I could sleep. All through gritted teeth which I found odd as I had been as nice as I could.

Also from speaking to a few other passengers waiting for bags after the flight they had mentioned something about the noise these girls were making and had asked the staff to just remind them others are on the flight which got completely ignored.

Switching back to BA next year as I prefer the cabins there and now they are also adding free WiFi onto all their flights.

Oh wow I did not know it was closed for that.

Yes it definitely appears open to me and the 4 of us plan to eat there at some point in the next few days. Will get some pics of the place.

Day 2

Mad day as ever in Vegas. Up early and as you have seen previously I hit that big hand pay. That's pushed me to being over 10k up already on bubble craps. Amazing feeling to be running like the sun.

Downside is normal craps is kicking my ass. Must be down around 5k as myself and any other shooter just cannot get a roll going. It's usually PSO after PSO. Also down 3k on Mo Mummy. Despite saying to myself no slots and definitely not Mo Mummy as it always never pays I see my dumb ass playing it.

Will need to do some accounting this morning to get a true picture where we stand gambling wise. I suspect I am around 2k up but not so sure.

So after waiting what seemed forever for my handpay I cash out and head over to Caesars Palace and to the spa. I had booked a 100 minute deep tissue massage with CBD cream and with that you get access to the spa for 3 hours. Not allowed to take pictures but safe to say the experience was exactly what was needed after the bit of stress on the flight. Now pain free in my neck and shoulders and feeling totally relaxed! Job done.

1pm I had agreed to meet P back at the Horseshoe as we had our F1 pit walk booked at 1:30 near by the Tuscany. So walked over and waited in yet another huge line. I am thinking this might be a bit of a theme this trip.

While we are waiting in line he is getting messages from his family member who works for McLaren to say can we be near a certain section at 3pm as he has our paddock passes ready.

As we were walking up the pits taking pictures we bumped into a guy who worked for McLaren. We asked him is S was anywhere in the garage and he said sure he will go get him. S came out and invited us into the garage from the pits instead of having to meet at a different location! That was actually pretty cool as we just were allowed past the barrier much to the dismay of all the other fans.

The garage tour was amazing. We really got to see all of inside of the goings on at a F1 team and how much work goes on behind the scenes we do not know about. Will not bore you all with too much detail.

We watch the first practice from the paddock and enjoyed as much free food and drink as it was humanly possible, said our goodbyes to S who was busy analysing data from practice and decided against staying for the F1 academy and head back to the horseshoe.

The other 2 who are with us wanted to play some poker and I just needed to lie down for a nap as I had a few too many drinks.

Anyway that nap turned into waking up at 5am!! Whoops

Not a racing fan, but even I can appreciate how cool it must be to get up close to those machines. Thanks for sharing the story and pics!

From the pics, they weren't using nearly enough.

Cool pics from the garage

Was this pit walk an organized event by F1 that you pay for? Or was it arranged by your friend?

Thanks for sharing the F1 pictures. Very cool!

The pit walk was part of the tickets we bought. The tickets were around $1700 for the weekend which I know is alot but we only do F1 once a year and wanted half decent seats

Money unspent is life unlived. As long as it doesn't put you in a bind, and you get that kind of value out of the experience, it's a good expenditure.

I could not agree more my friend. Everything is always within my limits and kids, bills etc is always the priority.

Can I ask does anyone here have a host at Caesars?

I had one call me today about putting stuff on the room so they can comp it based on play but not had the experience before.

Do we have a usual amount of comp? What should I be expecting. Appreciate I should have asked her

That makes sense. If you go to Peter Luger and charge it to your room Caesars can pay them. I imagine they get a negotiated discount. But they aren't going to give you cash if you went there and paid the bill yourself.

Main, that rain on the track looks nasty. Hope it's clear tomorrow. The weather forecast says it will be, but it said it would be clear today too.

Day 3

Woke up to Vegas being wet as anything!

Decided to make my calls back home and keep everyone updated and then head downstairs for some bubble craps before breakfast.

Some decent rolls again which saw another "handpay". I don't really call these cash outs a handpay but I am guessing once you are over a certain threshold it needs to be done. Just also LOL at having to pay tax on gambling winnings. So glad I don't have to.

Breakfast was at Ellis island and I have the sausage links. Full 4/10 if that on these and will not be ordering again. Didn't take a picture but I guess that's what you get for cheap and cheerful.

Decided to throw some dice at Ellis island and went on a decent roll. Hit a point 3 times I think and with 10x odds that's a pretty nice payout. In for $300. Out for $1000. Had $600 on the table as well before I 7 out so that shows what an ok roll that was. Also made over $50 for the dealers so they were happy.

P and I head over to the Venetian to pick up some merch for the F1. With our tickets we get some free stuff from the F1 shop. However the queue for this was absolutely insane and there was no way I was waiting in line for over a hour to pick up anything so we headed back.

Have to say the hard rock is starting to shape up nicely.

I show P how to play some craps on the bubble craps machines and we spin $300 into $900.

In the afternoon I fancy a bit of poker so sit down at a 1/3 game at the horseshoe. It's as bad as I expected with your usual comp hunters sitting on a short stack and not playing a hand. When they get something they just shove preflop for $80-$100 to win them the blinds. Had the usual other boring players with zero action/fun players so this was a grind. Anyway in for $300 and called it after just wanting to pull my eyes from my sockets with bordem. Sorry not big pots to mention. Just winning lots of small ones. Out for $450ish

Have a horrible craps session on the tables. I mean this was awful and give back just over $3k. So annoyed with myself as was tired and should have gone back to the room. However it's always that "well the next roll will be better" it wasn't. Tilted to anything!

I will gloss over the F1 a little as P3 was a little uneventful. However the qualifying was amazing if not a little wet!!

Did some accounting this morning

Table craps ($6,000)
Bubble craps $16,000
Slots ($3,000)
Poker $170

Profit $7,140

It's alot less than I thought but that's due to forgetting about the slots loss and thinking I had won more on bubble craps. That or I am missing something somewhere. This could also be the case as the time is just mushing into one!

My former Cosmo host is at Caesars, but I can't afford her current position.

You don't really need a host for this kind of stuff. Just charge it to the room and you can ask when you check out. They won't have an issue cancelling $32 margaritas at the pool or some food.

Geez, make a video on that. I'd sure be interested on how to win so many handpays.
