Urban does Vegas again (19th November to 29th November)
So I am getting this in early as I am just super excited already!
You may or may not remember previous trip reports but I
Thursday 27th November
I had the worst nights sleep. All night I had been disturbed by a bad stomach and wanting to just throw up everywhere. I knew this day was going to be a write off. The guys messaged in the morning asking where to go to breakfast. I declined and stayed in bed.
Over breakfast they decided they were going to play the daily at the Wynn. I stupidly accept the invitation and share a taxi. We register and I am sat down with a 25k stack and a dream. Not sure how long I am going to last but sod it we are here for the gamboooool. 4 hands in we see 55 in the CO. UTG raises 3x and we call.
Flop 959.
Lady bets full pot and I am thinking right now overpair in my head. We decide to just click it back knowing that this type of player is not letting go of a big pair. She snap shoves!!
We cannot fold here EVER in these daily tournaments so obviously call to make a 450+bb pot in the first level. Of course we are shown 99 and are drawing dead. Oh it is going to be one of those days the thoughts in my head are saying to me.
We grab a few waters and sit down at some bubble craps to chill out before thinking about re entering.

Start off with $100 in and we hit the ATS after going on a monster roll
Well that is us freerolling the tournament so yeah lets have another bullet.
Big mistake I am starting to feel sick again and end up leaving the Wynn a few hands into our 2nd bullet as I decided to paint the porcelain a lovely shade of yellow. Once we got out of the restroom it was a quick taxi ride home to get back to bed.
About 6 hours sleep and we wake up feeling so much better.
Freshen up in the shower, meet the guys who all busted and we play craps. That evening I gave back so much. Honestly it is scary to admit but I easily lost 15-16k. You know it is bad when I have zero pictures taken. Just loss after loss. Not even high limit Baccarat saved me. All that profit and we are nearly having a breakeven trip.
Happy Thanksgiving me!
Friday 28th November
Black Friday shopping this day and we had agreed to meet downstairs at 6am. I was already down as had been up all night chasing. Honestly zero sleep and feeling like crap. Not wanting to shop but I needed to do something different than gamble. I knew if I had I would have given it all back.
We head down to the North Outlet Centre and get all the things we had planned to buy for our families.

That is just a small example of what I got but I needed another suitcase due to buying the family tons of clothes and toys etc. When the pound is pretty good against the dollar and the shops all have 60% off I can pretty much sort out all the Christmas presents in one trip.
By 11am I was done, utterly shattered and headed back to the Horseshoe. Got in a nap and woke up really refreshed and ready to get my money back.
First machine

Some really good rolls and repeaters.
We move onto our second machine

Yes the handpay was for $1830 but we had spun up to $6k at this point! Again another monster roll with the ATS hit as well.
Third machine

Smashed again.
Fourth machine

Cashed out for 4.5k. Last roll was for $914 so if that had not come a 7 we were close to the 6k mark again.
Amazing stuff!! I am feeling so much better now and let the guys know the good news.
We have a quick dinner and hit the craps table after.
When you are feeling good it just all works and we end up going on a great roll. Think I hit around 6 points and was rolling for a solid 45mins. Another 8k profit. Sorry no pictures this time on that one as we were just all celebrating!!
All of what I lost the night before I got back plus more. No better feeling.
Saturday 30th November
Last day we finish off our shopping. This time at the South Outlets. Not too much to report here as it was a pretty quiet day before our flight.
I did manage to buy this time piece though

When I went to check out the host called me up and said she had comped us $1000 and was going to book us a limo back to the airport

As for my list of things I wanted to achieve this holiday I think I did a few of them. Not as many I would have hoped but here we are.
I am now a CET Diamond Plus which is a bonus!
Again sorry for the bad end to this report but what a run!!!
Thanks for finishing the report and congrats on the comeback.
Nice finish! Sorry to hear about the illness. Being sick on vacation is just terrible. Miss your holiday time off in addition to not being well.

brilliant way to recover! thanks for the report. Also, great to buy a load of things for the family - makes you a far more popular returner and also protects you from losing all your money...which has happened to me once or twice.
What was the overall p&l on the gambol?
Overall I finished just over 21k up.
Poker was a breakeven trip thanks to the tournaments. Although the time I spent playing was the lowest I have ever had while in Vegas. Next trip maybe more poker less degen. Although being a degen is hella fun.
Total CET points I earned over the trip was 41,000. If we base that on earning just from slots I would have had to had played through $205k. However I think its more than that due to earning differently on the bubble craps machines and table games. I can recommend those for playing table games just tip the dealers.
When I was playing craps I would usually start with $25 on the pass line and once a point was set have $25 a number ($30 on the 6 and 8) and have $10 across for the dealers. When the rolls were good and I started raising my bets I would notice the pit boss would be tapping away and it was looking like my average bet was being raised. When I was regressing the pit boss was not typing anything in. Could be jumping to conclusions but I would like to think the tips were helping. The dealers also were appreciating the tips and they certainly looked after me. Things like already knowing what to press and reminding me of odds etc was really nice. Even just being called by your first name and talking to you when you walk past goes a long way with me.

Little picture of most of the hand pay slips. Good job I checked these as on the way back I was carrying just over $17k in my bag and was asked for a source of funds. These slips confirmed where I got the cash from.
On a side note my host emailed me yesterday with some offers so there maybe another trip sooner rather than later now.
Epic TR! Iβm going for a long trip in March and after reading Leonβs craps summary and then your I might start doing a little bit of a craps session if I can find somewhere with low stakes.

Ellis island offers $5 craps with 10X odds which is amazing.
Bellagio also offers a free hours craps lesson most days at 11am
But yeah Leons summary is absolutely excellent.
I am also looking at dates in March as flight prices are really low and my comps now also look tasty.

Nice! Me and BigWhale are going March 19th to April 5-ish (Iβm booked for those dates, heβs hesitating). Let me know if you are there then and letβs grab some drinks and shoot craps! Anything to keep me away from getting killed at UX haha
All/Tall/Small. All is rolling all the numbers before a 7. Small 2-6, tall 8-12. Different payouts for each.

Something else you can do is take all your stuff to Fedex or UPS. They'll box it up and ship it. Probably more expensive than buying suitcases, but at least you don't have to drag all of it through the airport.

Where is Leon's summary? I hope it's not buried in his mega-thread.
I used to play craps a lot when I was young and poor. I had no idea what I was doing though, no strat, just pass line and 6 and 8. The amazing rolls I had were wasted on me somewhat. You could charge for a seminar.

Itβs in his thread, you even replied to it.

100% sure. Trying to talk some friends into going but their partners are having none of it at the moment.
But yeah if I get there let throw some bones and drink some greyhounds!
For those that wanted to know the way I mainly played was as follows (this also applied to bubble craps):
$25 on the pass line for the come out
Set a point lets say in this example the point is 6
Horseshoe was offering 5x odds on that so I would take my odds $125
$520 across the other numbers so $100 on the 4,5,9,10 and $120 on the 8.
Total bet = $670
The next roll is the most crucial one for me as we obviously have a large investment out. However again for this example lets say the next roll was an 8 which would pay $140.
This is when I would be asking the dealer to regress me to $130 across. $25 on the 4,5,9,10 and $30 on the 8
Now with the odds the total bet is $280 but it has only cost us $140 as we had our previous hit on the 8.
After we have regressed we are free to press the numbers after each roll. Usually I would just double what I have on whatever number I have just rolled, set myself stop losses and think of targets where I would start to regress again.
You can change this up so you are out big for 2 hits and then once you regress you are essentially just pressing with house money.
The one downside to playing this way is the dreaded PSO (point seven out) as you have alot on the table the first couple of rolls and that sucks to lose so much in so little time.
As with all the ways to play craps they are all good as long as you are going on those monster rolls.
