just stfu man it's never how it seems. (saw a text in 80 mix group chat) there simply arent that many winners in poker, from actual playing that is. That's why i like Ted (and a plo reg from sacramento) so much - they taught me immensely on game selection n how to be a winner

be urself n do what seems fit

im still tilted from my punt in the napt $500 mystery bounty tour - which led me to staking ppl in kesslers tour - but what can i do? bounce back n go play my A game in the TEROS tour at robbie's festival at rw

finished 4th.

Ron schiffman suggested icm chop but i refused when we were 4handed

it lasted a long time and i told him it's just two thousand dollars. he said - Exactly! I make $5k an hour at my job!

man...

But that's no biggie, i get pestered and attacked by him all the time at 80/160....

But there was this guy who i never met - after i check back an 87 versus his Ten low in razz to win the hand - he thanked me for checking back and started needling me and every single time someone wins a hand vs me he congratulates them...... so petty.... I kept my mouth shut for the whole time which was very impressive....

emotional control ------ jose mourinho

there was a stud8 hand toward the end where i had 2356TT and i rivered a 3 i led out thinking i had a six high straight.... glad he didnt raise w his flush to give me life. (i wouldve check called w two pair but.... always account for the times opponents misread their cards haha)

oh there was one O8 hand i had vs ron where i had 3688 on KJ458

i somehow didnt value bet river after he checked all 3 streets which would be a big swing when there are only 21 bets in play 4handed

brain fart....

the other guy i dont recognize shows support for me when I keep getting needled and is HU w ron right now.

Winning tournament feels special - unfortunately can not today.

Nut low Kind Bar flavor. Other than that, really enjoying your blog. Just read through it all. Anyone discussing the rumors that RW might be shutting down their room soon? GLGL

What’s your take on 2-7 dramaha and drama dugi starting hand selection? What’s the worst pat hand people should play?

How do you decide to draw or not with your good but not great pat hands? I find these games get players into the most trouble.

First of all, drawmaha variants are very starting hand dependent because equities run so far apart.
Secondly, people get in trouble mostly because they play too wide hence run into supposedly close spots too often. (Last night I limped a 9643 draw utg in drawma deuce and caught a queen for top pair and double gutter on turn - I did fold, but I had no business playing that hand to begin with.)

In terms of range, there's no "should" in my opinion; it's a complicated game. I often play two pips tighter than "should".
In drawmaha low dugi, i play 7 lows or better and I would open premium 3 cards (but I wouldn't flat call)
In drawmaha high dugi, I play Jacks dugi or better and I would open Jacks or better 3 card (no flat calling either if someone had raised before me)
In drawmaha 2-7, i play pat 9 or better (no 1 card draws) utg n utg1; pat ToB (1 card draw to 9oB) LJ n HJ; pat JoB (1 card draw to ToB) BU. And again, if I have a one card draw, I am not flatting pre - I would 3 bet (if I think opponent is drawing) > fold pre > flat call.

This is my strat usually. For the drawmaha wizards these may be so rookie, but as I am learning, I may widen my range and play "better".

For good but not great pat hands, I hope I am playing in position; and decisions are made based on my connectivity with the board for scoop potential.

It was a life saver; I didn't eat much yesterday - went to rail the big boys play Taiwanese after I busted the tour and snagged this KIND bar.

People talk about it quite a bit - I just don't see it happening; the business is great at RW. (Hi, Genting Group, pay me thank you.)

yesterday was discussing a hand w ruth n jasonT in badeucey w 3h6d4c4sX

i truthfully told them i would only draw 1 first draw....i got bashed

and ruth pulled up this tool - i havent used it in so long

Interesting stuff...

In some of the drawmaha games, the equities run so far apart that you might even be correct to raise/fold pre (!?). Ok, let's take a look at Dramaha High Dugi; we open that Jacks dugi and get 3! by a tight player. While it is true that one should have strong draws as well as made dugis; (think AA with a 3d card), we know certain players who will always have jacks beat. Let's take the best scenario; they have Queens Dugi, we have JJAKx baduggi. We have just 4 outs versus their dugi. That's going to be less than 10%; some of the time it is even worse, we are drawing dead (they have bigger trips). What are our pot odds? Say we raise, get 3! and it is heads up. We need 13.3% equity to see the flop. We don't have that for the hand, but obviously we will have much better Omaha odds, as that part of the game the odds still run close...in a great spot, we have about 48% for the board, or 28% equity overall. When the flop comes..now what? We can continue when we get a favorable board, but if the board misses, do we just throw our hand away? We only need 10% equity, and we will have that most of the time between our draw, and the turn card helping us..But now comes the bad part. We miss the turn and the draw...or even get a piece of the turn and have some equity for the board (say we have a FD, and a gutter, and an overpair. Some of those outs may or may not be good.

I think the Dugi games are the worst for this; we are often drawing to less than 10% of the pot when behind, or even dead. The situation is even more dire in A-4 Dugi; here a 76 dugi can easily be drawing dead; even a smooth draw like 7321 is in terrible shape vs a better dugi.

As for Dramaha 2, the situation isn't as bad. It is often D1/D1, or D1 to a very live hand vs a pat T. Saw we have 8732 vs a T9. Our outs will be in the teens; 8732 vs T9654 for example has 15 outs; if we share some of the lower cards that number goes up. I do like your ranges; that is about how I play as well. One small thing to look for is your suitedness. If you have a pat and your highest card is suited, you can't get scooped in a heads up pot vs one other hand when a flush comes in. This enables you to punish lower flush/worse low; if you have a poor flush now you are in the opposite spot.

The points games are interesting. 49 and 0 seem the same, but IMO they are quite different. The big difference is that you can have a strong draw in 49, say TT982 and your hand will still often be good if it you catch a blank. In zero, you can have a strong draw, say AKJJ7, if you catch bad, you now are in much worse shape, especially vs a pat hand. 49 is a better game, as you will see people playing for just half with AA; all the best Omaha hands make good zero hands however.

Also, the hand equities in the points games are usually close; a strong D1 vs an average pat will be WAY closer than the dugi games.

raise fold sounds completely crazy right? Especially in cash games. But it is very very likely the right thing to do.

Ye the highest card being suited is a very technical part of drawma2... I like the analysis.

i never thought hard about 49 or 0. strat wise i just don't vpip and D2. Nice to hear the difference - avg drawn point is 4.3

You can definitely VPIP in 49 with a strong D2; TT9 and T99 are plenty good to raise, even from EP. You will usually end in the high 30s and have a strong pair for the board to make top set. Even T98 is fine. The best D2s in 0 are not terrible, but not as good. KKQ and AAK are probably OK to vpip, as you have a very strong hand for the board, as well as a decent hand for points. Something like AKJ is probably not good enough to play unless it is a steal spot vs tight blinds.

One important point about Zero and 49, they are big games for card removal. Especially in looser games, if it folds to you on the button, the deck will be quite rich for the blinds, moreso than in other games.

One other thing in these dramaha games is to look for spots where you are unscoopable. Obviously when you have the nuts for either side, you can be unscoopable, it's the subtle spots you want to look out for. I mentioned the flush using your highest card in 2-7.

I had a fun one last month in 2-7. The final board read something like KQQJJ, no flush draw. I will leave it to the reader to guess my hand type where I was unscoopable.

Too late to edit, but not just unscoopable, but guaranteed 1/2 the pot…

my poker ability about to reach a new level

What was the ultimatum you got from Davis, and have you complied with it?

While your poker journey is fascinating, I do worry about your visa status if you get kicked out of school. How's the mixed game action in Macau? Seriously, have you considered consulting an immigration attorney to discuss other options for remaining here legally? I wouldn't want you to be at risk of deportation in the current climate.

I also worry that you're posting too much personal information. Your name appears in multiple photos you've posted. You say you have to pretend to be poor to get paid back what you're owed, but you've also implied the size of your bankroll and posted photos of the perks you get as a whale. And your visa situation is probably not something you want publicly known. I mean, you talk about players needling/pestering/attacking you at the table; I'd hate to see one of them drop a dime on you out of petty spite.

It's not that I am here illegally - just have issue graduating. The ultimatum is complicated. But yes, getting Actually kicked out would be yucky. I was actually telling my gf that my legal status ends June 2026.

No clue about action in Macau - have no intention going there - same as not having desire to go to places like Manila for Triton even if i could. Way too many scams.

Doxxing myself is interesting indeed - i am aware of the dangers associated w deportation - the way i see it is that if i were important enough to be chased down, the upper management doesnt need my help to seize me; if i pose no threat, i can beg them to catch me n they won't. There have been players who try to scare me w calling the ICE etc. i just felt that they have no clue how these things work. The likelihood of me getting in trouble is so incredibly low they are pretty much drawing dead. But yes, getting the degree is very important and I wouldnt wanna disappoint my parents, who are aware of my gambling ups n downs as well as my school woes.

And with the money i am owed - whether i have 50k or 50 million, i want the money owed to be paid back because it is more about tracking results in gambling instead of the absolute value of liquid i have.

I completely agree there are ppl who wanna get me, so be it - there are students/colleagues at school who could not wait to see me get fired or expelled - but I for the most part stick to the rules.

Thanks

Didn't you say a couple months ago that you were breakeven/small loser over the last 3 years? Where did this 75k profit come from?
