ATM is @ Texas

by CowboyCold m

Hope to catch you GB before you go to bed.

What happens if Texas beats Texas A&M?

ATM is safe no matter what, especially since a loss very likely prevents them from picking up another in the SECCG

I just don't think it would be enough to vault Texas into the playoffs, although the committee does seem to love them some Texas

They lost to Florida, which would be one of the worst losses of a playoff team and got absolutely dumptrucked by UGA.

GT and USC losing gets them closer, they'll be at worst #16. If Vandy is 15, then the committee might switch them bc of h2h which gives them a shot

I could see them jumping Miami and/or Utah and certainly Vandy, but they 're not jumping Bama or ND unless they lose.

If Ole Miss or Oregon loses, and you have OM/Oregon, Miami, Utah, Vandy and Texas fighting for the last spot, I could see the committee doing something hilarious and giving it to the 3 loss team because they can't figure out which 2 loss team should go. Texas would certainly have the best wins of the bunch. ATM, OU and Vandy would be 3 top 15 wins, and nobody else would have that.

colorado drops the ball on the turf untouched.

asu 88 yard td next play

Yeah. That also works. Ugly football being played in Boulder.

Deion gotta be +600 to come back, right?

To be clear, if the runner doesn't just fall flat on his face (which I'm guessing isn't his usual behavior) I think he gets the first. The edge was set and they'd probably seen something on tape.

It was 4th and 9 from their own 40 with 7 minutes left. Have to think you just punt there and hope you can hold them at least once and/or score at least a FG...

Well they'd had like net 0 yards since halftime, and likely would already have been tied if not for the 100-yard pick 6.We're always miffed when coaches don't use all their timeouts, well imagine you drew up this fake pu

Michigan @ Ohio State

It's at Michigan. There's a chance we go into the game without our top two RBs (both All-American level talent) and our FB (The clear best FB in the game the last 3 years).

That said, Ohio State hasn't faced anyone all year and has faced close to zero adversity. And we know from years of data they are a bully program that out-talents teams to death. If you punch them in the face they won't punch back. They never have. They never will. It's the same story every year. They're an elite finesse Big 12 team. Force them to play Big Ten football and they're cooked.

Go Blue in 7OT on a non-called OPI.

KSU & UCLA knocked Pitt down to bronze in the Special Teams Olympics imo.

Predictions look good except I could see vandy jumping both Utah and Miami.

Also the committee hates byu.

Also think Michigan jumps Texas.

Utah has zero impressive wins, and were horrible v ttu & byu. They’re certainly dropping in the polls after last night’s miracle.

ACC is easy now, only 64 scenarios - I mapped them all out with the current odds:

SMU 83%
UVA 83%
Miami 13%
Pitt 11%
Duke 9%
GT 1%

I revise my rankings, I think BYU actually less than 50% to jump Bama.

Still think it's fairly likely that Miami jumps Utah. I don't know that Vandy will jump them with zero ranked wins, but Vandy being 1 behind Utah will allow them to jump Utah by winning @ Tennessee (although I still don't think they jump Miami at that point)

We can really just make everybody's lives a lot easier by getting Miami into the ACCCG and getting them the auto-bid

Miami has 12 / 64 paths in:

7 combos: SMU - VT - anything other than Wake-UNC-BC

1 combo : Cal - Wake - NC State - UVA - Cuse

2 combos: Cal - Wake - NC State - VT

1 combo: Cal - Wake - UNC - VT - Cuse

1 combo: Cal - Duke - NC State - VT - Cuse

Ok, I'm a dumbass. Just a poster trying to make a post. I hadn't defended a coach's decision all year. ... I'll wear that one. ... You can chalk those 7 posts up to Holliday.

Instant replay: just another garbage time TD allowed by the Buckeye D again this week. Still just 2 sustained drive TD's against them all year before garbage time (also one bomb and one 14 yard drive). 9 TDs allowed total. They give up 7 points per game most all of it when the game is decided.

B1G fun:

Indiana's entire roster comes down with ebolaflu and they (somehow!) lose to Purdue
Oregon loses to Washington
Ohio State loses to Michigan

Michigan-Ohio State round 2 in the B1G championship game!

(According to someone on twitter you can get +32000 on a Purdue-Washington-Michigan ML parlay)

I’d take a neither Ohio or Indy make the Final rn, maybe even the Semis if the price was right.

Vegas seems to agree with me that Utah is going to get jumped by Miami and Vandy if they all win out. My guess is Miami - Utah - Vandy this week, then Vandy jumps them if they win @ Tenn

Vegas is also pricing 11-1 BYU to very likely fall behind Miami and Vandy if they lose in the championship to Texas Tech, which seems harsh to me.

Would also be dumb for the ACC to get 2 bids while the B12 gets 1 despite the B12 dominating the ACC h2h and being the far superior conference this year.

Hopefully Miami can just win the ACC and LSU and/or Auburn can pull an upset and free up another SEC spot

my ideal world is OU and Alabama both lose and ATM gets rid of texas for good

1 atm
2 osu
3 indiana
4 uga
5 tech
6 oregon
7 ole miss
8 notre dame
9 byu
10 vandy
11 miami
12 Tulane/UNT

going in to conf champs

If BYU loses, they probably drop to 11 since they have H2H over Utah who is 13

Bama is clearly a top 12 team. Why would you not want them in the playoffs?

Or is it just Bama hate?

Record 37-40. Superlocks: 4-9

Here's the LOCKS of the week:

Michigan +10.5 (-129)
Auburn +7.5 (-159)
Georgia Tech +14.5 (-136)
TexAM -2.5 (-108)
Pitt +7.5 (-125)
LSU +10.5 (-125)
Wash +7.5 (-140)
Tenn -2.5 (-125)

$20 to win $1,932.37

Superlock of the week has to be TexAM. I'm not saying TexAM is the greatest thing ever but they are a very good team and Texas is a very mediocre team. Texas also just had their playoff dreams shattered. This one could get ugly. TexAM should win this one by at least two touchdowns. BTW Michigan ML would've been my superlock of the week but having our entire backfield not being healthy has me legit spooked. I still see a path to victory tho. No matter what all the wins and stats say, Ohio State will still be playing a rookie, white midget QB, who can't run, and Ohio State still has their worst RB room in decades. I'm not saying Michigan is that great but Ohio State is vulnerable. If there's snow and wind Ohio State could easily be drawing dead. That said, if Ohio State can achieve a double digit lead Michigan is ****ed and Michigan fans should immediately turn to netflix. Michigan can't play from behind against the best secondary in the game.

I hate Bama with every fiber in my body, but if a 10-2 Bama team that beat Georgia somehow misses the playoffs, that's terrible for the game and a loss for every college football fan imo. That said, go Tigers!

Thank you for this. Texas could really use this win.

Even if Texas wins this Friday in no way do I think Texas deserves a spot in the playoffs at 9-3. If a couple of teams ahead of us trip up then of course I'll be happy to take the spot.

What is interesting is how the committee will treat Texas at 9-3 compared to teams at 10-2 that had complete **** out of conference games. They have said they won't hold tough out of conference losses as big as a regular loss. If Texas had an OOC like Vandy/Utah/BYU/Texas Tech's and sat at 10-2 would there be any doubt we'd be up around Oklahoma at 8 or so?

What I fear is all the good OOC games will go away and we're going to be stuck with Texas versus Rice and upcoming games against teams like OSU/Michigan/Notre Dame will become a thing of the past.

When there were 4 teams in the playoff it made sense to schedule them. Texas does not get in the 4 team playoff 2 years ago if we didn't beat Bama OOC.

I like pretty much the opposite of all his picks lol. I think a lot of these teams prove something.

Am I correct that UGA needs one of Bama or A&M to lose to get into the SECCG?

If neither loses, is UGA still getting a bye as a one loss non-CG participant?

Assuming we beat Tech, of course. I saw them play last week. They can have all the nerd, impotent rage in the world for clean old fashioned hate, and they’re not beating the Bulldogs.
