--If you dont associate specifically with Western high educated women it probably wouldn't be too hard to go your whole life and never find a woman who would seriously argue that all behavioral differences between men and women are environment; and the Western liberal men specifically are holding women down.

I've never run into such an attitude, and for years my best friends and even most of my acquaintances have been college educated women.

I would think any woman even somewhat educated in modern psychology and evolution would know that sexual differences in behavior can be almost completely attributed to genetics.

Not sure why you would think that....our very own Crossnerd seems to be a full blown Skinnerian.

"Some people have a dark cloud over them" says the guy whose picture is on the wall of his company's HR department.

by TheBigEasy m

The same can be said about you and women. Your posting makes it clear you hate women (likely because you are incapable of sexually gratifying them) and view them only as semen depositories.

I have never said I hate women because I don't. I have simply pointed out the differences between men and women. I have simply described anecdotal experiences I have had with individual women. I have never said men are better than women or visa versa. Each experience is unique.

I have never said I hate women because…...

…….you don't need to. The way you portray your interactions with women make your stance very clear. Whatever lies you tell yourself to veil your true feelings are just that; lies.

I don't know man, it's late, I'm on the train and had my fill of beers. I can't figure out what your statement means.
I'll give my sample size
Mom, no college degree until her 60's. A lot of experience working for male bosses through the 80's and 90's
Sister no college degree (E_D would immediately have her walk the plank since she's white)
Wife- bachelors right out of high school.
Stepmom- government lawyer

I've heard all of CN's trolling points from them my entire life.
This is 4 women from 3 different countries and cultures and them and CN would get along famously in their men bashing.
And I don't think it's a global conspiracy. It's actually how we are.
And to add to that I really dgaf. I try to be a pretty empathetic guy but I'll never achieve CN's or these other women's standards for my behavior because it's just how we're wired and besides CN, they all still love me.
But I do laugh at guys getting triggered by CN's comments in this forum.
For sure she is being a bit hyperbolic but overall seems like pretty standard facts to me.

I'm also sure it was bittersweet for CN to ban phinfan. Guy was such a low hanging pinata for this stuff

The problem is people like you think the worst of all situations. You let your emotions run your life. I know the truth so it doesn't matter what a perpetually angry person thinks.

by 5 south m

Any man that hasn't encountered CN's takes on men from a woman probably hasn't had too many actual close relationships with women.

The difference is the women I have associated with aren't moderators on a forum.

What’s with the overeducated thing? First jalfrezi using it as an insult to me, now Dunyain using it as an insult to CN. Are we supposed to take it as a bad thing that CN has a lot of education? lol

What a weird anti-intellectual insult.

You.

Right walk the plank....not "if she thought Trump would somehow improve her personal financial situation and now realizes she was mistaken, her race and low education probably played a big part in her making that self admitted mistake".

I was quoting Orwell. He uses "intellectual" in the same way in modern parlance we would use "progressive." Languages evolve over time, so I wouldn't get too hung up on the exact word choice from someone who died 75 years ago.

But two of my closest friends in the world are men, have been my friends for over a decade, and I love them deeply and they love me and know that when I speak about these issues I’m not attacking them as individuals.

They may just be avoiding a tedious argument, on the grounds of 'Anything for a quiet life,' which is a thing men do.

Re: men saying I love you to other men

I was at a casual birthday gathering last Sunday where one of the guys told the birthday man I love you multiple times in a warm embrace. It seemed quite normal.

On a related note, my family was not an I love you saying family. My gf over-says it. All the time. I’ve started saying it more and sometimes I’ll say it and my family doesn’t even feel comfortable saying it back. It’s an interesting dynamic

You’re the one that said “over-educated”, not Orwell.

And I have no idea what Orwell would consider the analogue to the intellectuals of his day. The essay you are quoting from is about nationalism, which he apparently included Communism in that category as Russian nationalism. Though he did mention the excesses of the left, it wasn’t to raise up the right. Quite the opposite, he was saying that if you are too nationalistic, you will end up helping the right. It’s much more about people like victor than like crossnerd, if you read the quote in context.

I’m not a fan of people stripping out a quote from an essay for the purposes of polemics and not for the purposes of understanding.

Crossnerd is the one pushing anti-science blank slatism ideology. Not me. Of course males are (relatively) engineered to react violently to threats. This is something that even a 5 year old intuitively understands, and every scientific study on the subject ever undertaken has confirmed.I would take an insane amount of over-educated ideologically programming for someone to b

Anyway, it’s very clear from the essay that Orwell did not use β€œintellectual” the way you claimed he does. He applied it to both left and right wing, and why wouldn’t he? It’s not like there aren’t right-wing intellectuals from Britain at that time.

Men saying I love you to other men is for girls and should be banned, with possible incarceration.

It's all relative, isn't it?

Populist eras are always fertile times for charges of "overeducation."

Ya bro. I love you. I hear it back somewhat frequently too.

This is close to where I am. I find it a little tough to feel sorry for anyone in these debates. On the one hand, I don't see any reason to leap to to CN's defense. She is being deliberately glib and hyperbolic, with full knowledge that certain people will respond in exactly the same way they always do. On the other hand, huge LOL at all these guys who apparently feel personally persecuted by the CNs of the world. It's still way easier to be a man than it is to be a woman. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to experience reality and step away from whatever manosphere K-hole they are immersed in.

It’s a generational thing. Young men and boomers are going to have completely different life experiences with respect to their gender.

Re: men saying I love you to other men

I wouldn't say that this is a common thing, but my best friend from high school signs off most every conversation I have with him with some version of "love you brother." Generally speaking, he is just a teddy bear type personality when it comes to personal relationships. Big guy, big voice, big hugs. I'm sure people know the type. Oddly enough, he is also an enthusiastic Trump supporter. Shrug.
