The NHL Thread
For the 5 of us who post NHL stuff, here you go. Officially the season starts Tuesday October 11, although there were tw
Didn't see deBrusk tied for 2nd coming but I guess it makes sense if EP40 isn't gonna bang em in
As far as the youtube hab content...
Starr & D'amico show. D'Amico is on a roll with breaking habs news. Has sources and knows prospects. I think he has a big future in the niche.
I watch two old dudes sometimes...Recrutes Habscast with Grant McCagg. And another..it's called Puck Talk MTL.
Obviously Tony Marinaro's Sick Podcast has his thing with solid regular guests.
Habs Digest is the always optimistic high energy positive spin often several times a day takes. This is good quick info on what is going on and they keep it light.
Honorable mention.. Legorocks is top click baiter. Hockey Junkie gets the job done. DrewDekes is a not my cup of tea. Locked on Habs kinda boring but not bad.

Thanks. Familiar with all of those except the bolded paragraph and legorocks. Will check them out.
Getting romped by the Avs right now. Couple bad breaks.
That elbow by Leon needs to be a suspension
The aforementioned Wyatt Johnston had a hat trick yesterday, 2 goals of which were on the power play.
He now leads in PP goals 12 to 7. 😆
No TV tonight.
Carter Hart debut tonight hope he does well
I had to watch espn + last night, for short time, ugh.
This Olympic Hockey rink is nuts . It may not be complete and the ice surface is 4 feet shorter than the NHL rink
wtf?
Italians lol
traditionally, Olympic ice is larger than NHL ice, but for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics, the Milan arena is expected to have an ice surface that is smaller than an NHL rink. Historically, Olympic rinks are 200 feet long by 100 feet wide, while NHL rinks are 200 feet by 85 feet, making the Olympic rinks 15 feet wider.
Best I can tell it's still wider but 4 feet shorter.
Here we are in Carolina, waves to tarheels.
On Tuesday, the Athletic reported that the IIHF approved a 196.85-foot by 85.3-foot sheet of ice in Milan, which is more than three feet shorter than the NHL's standard 200-foot by 85-foot dimensions. The issue was first raised publicly on Monday by Team Canada assistant coach Pete DeBoer in a Sportsnet radio interview the "Real Kyper and Bourne" show. DeBoer, who visited Milan earlier this fall, said: "The ice surface, it looks like it's going to be smaller than NHL rink standard by probably 3 or 4 feet. I don't understand how that happened."
Shame I liked watching olympic hockey with more wide open ice
damn, 32.canucks. i didn't even realize lol
