The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

Why start an election and spend hundreds of millions again ?
It’s working fine for now …

To have a majority

I genuinely don't know why Pierre doesn't just **** off. I'm sure the money and benefits are great but in what world is he ever becoming PM? I'd vote Carney before Pierre and I think the liberal party is without question the worst thing that has ever happened to Canada.

Exactly how I feel when he lost his riding and blew that lead he needed to be gone

Agreed and the way he's trying to politick now is just embarrassing. This American style conspiracy theory talk **** about your opposition is straight garbage. It also doesn't work with Canadians I don't think.

He was handed a win because Canada was done with Trudeau and he blew it. Have some pride and **** off already so someone who might be an actual decent politician can give it a go.

Pierre great in stealing ppc votes !
A bunch of nutz !

Shifty, who wants big government nanny state to ban alcohol sales, is probably outraged by this: https://www.cbc.ca/news/investigates/nic...

Canadians like the pipeline compromise: https://abacusdata.ca/abacus-data-poll-a...

Of particular interest are the individual factors. Canadian's in general are NOT the far right do-nothing-about-climate. They want a compromise, they want development BUT they like the things in the MOU about carbon capture and storage, higher carbon price, net zero 2050 commitment, etc.

Wanting and believing it be better for society are different things.

There's always been store owners that operate on the fringes, kids always knew what stores to go to when you wanted to buy cigarettes growing up, no different.

Personally I support the indigenous communities by buying them legally on the rez.

Fair. Most of us want things that are beneficial for society, so I forget that some people approach politics based on their own personal preferences and advocate banning one drug and legalizing another because that is their personal preference.

Its an interesting poll as more folks say we should not put climate policies in place that damage the economy. Its how I feel as well.

Lets be honest with the MOU even if everything goes perfect and Eby and the Indigenous groups support it nothing will be built in the next 10 years . Alberta has more success in increasing capacity of Trans Mountain .

Sadly we lost all the jobs with Nutrien going to Washington and BC blaming the Feds and the Feds blaming BC .

That's sort of right. At a high level people like doing things to support the economy AND they think we should have climate policies. Both poll well. The debate seems to more that poilievre conservatives take a view that economy always trumps climate, and if you can think of any minor way it "damages the economy" then it will always pick economy over climate. That's mostly true of Trudeau suite of policies to be honest as well (be built a pipeline and only had a tepid carbon tax!) but rhetorically he speaks more on the side of the climate. Carney has split the difference saying we can have a pipeline but need industrial carbon tax and carbon capture and storage etc. So far that seems to be popular.

Rustad has been removed as leader of BC conservatives!!!!!!

Wow.

Good. ****ing. Riddance.

Ill say that when the Leader of Vancouver Eby is gone

Ironically, Eby would almost certainly not be Premier were it not for John Rustad. And even today he is the gift that keeps on giving in terms of NDP chances, the more chaos among the conservatives the better.

Nicotine is already legal silly.

lmao buddy obviously we are talking about your silly rant about how evil the Big Government was for banning the sale of various nicotine products in convenience stores. Don't you remember? Which like was a semi-reasonable position one could debate until you accidentally revealed your hypocrisy and started calling for the Big Government to ban alcohol. Now we just laugh at you.

I don't think I said "evil", probably dumb. Which it is.

Do you believe crystal meth should be legal?

oh oh oh right and then there was the bit where you started calling multiple people alcoholics.

LMAO.

Please never leave Shifty

Right, because they are.

yes yes! Exactly like that! And then remember how you told us you used nicotine products for decades but where going around accusing others of being alcoholics. Man gotta love it.

I haven't used nicotine products for decades. I used tobacco products in my hockey playing days for probably close to a decade.

huh? Weren't you the guy saying you wanted child attracting flavoured nicotine pouches legal and lashing out at anyone that pointed out your hypocrisy as alcoholics?

Lol aren't you a decades long nicotine user? ?

by Shifty86

Nicotine and hand rolled cigars, yes..

LMAO. Notice the last time I asked you just said yes, and now you're trying to suggest it was decades ago. LOLOLOL. You might be right - but if so you suck at basic conversations. I quoted you 100% accurately that you are a decades long nicotine user.

Lol "lashing out". You have the critical thinking skills and mindset of a 12 year old.

Right now, nicotine and hand rolled cigar yes, not for decades silly.

You understand there is a difference between tobacco products and nicotine products right.
