[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
Tons of bots at 2/4 NL. I think there are ~10. They all have identical preflop stats, same naming convention (Noun and then 2-3 digit number), play the same speeds, similar timings, use the same non-meta IP river strategy that the bots on GG used (b25-b33 value).
They aren't playing close to GTO preflop ranges or doing any kind of MDA strategy. They are old school bots. If WPT did any kind of statistical analysis they would spot it.
Big part of me suspects they are "ecology bots", put there by the site to not win too much or just lose post rake, to keep tables running.
Another quirk I found funny was in cash games $40 NL is under the "Mirco" tab and for tournaments a $2 tournament is considered "low" and not "mirco"
I won a seat to the WPT prime championship, but I don't see where it's showing on the app
I played a 6 handed sit and go for the 1050, if I recall correctly.
I feel like the time bank and checking my opponents' cards is adding up on my bottom line.
That might possibly be doubling the rake that I pay!
I just saw this message in my texts from yesterday, but I won the seat on Sunday:
"This is an important reminder that you have a 1,100 Road to WPT ticket in your ClubWPT Gold account — but you are not yet registered to use it for the WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
To secure your seat, you must register for the WPT Prime Championship holding tank in the ClubWPT Gold lobby by 5:00 PM PT on Thursday, December 4.
Urgent: If you do not complete your registration by this deadline, you will not be able to use this ticket at the Wynn. Please take action now to avoid missing out.
If you have any questions or need help, please reach out to

So I missed the deadline, according to the email. Waiting for reply from their support.
"WPT Prime Championship holding tank"
I don't see it.

Lmao - bro - I literally burn my entire win rate checking hole cards. Not exaggerating. It's microstakes donkery - but I'm burning like 50bb / 100

Support emailed me back pretty quickly. I can show up any day 1 to play the WPT prime championships!
Cool 😀

it's usually like 1BB in the mid stakes games
5 5 10 20 is 10
and 1/2 is 2
I realized after I asked for a minute at the 5 5 10 20 that I was burning 100 dollars for a time bank haha 😀
Can someone tell me what the downside to signing up is? Its $110 plus training vids for $99. Why wouldn't you do this?
You only get access to Upswing Lab 1.0 which sounds like it’s outdated material since they have an Upswing Lab 2.0 now. I’d rather keep $99 in my pocket than 110 on the site with no rakeback if I don’t need to deposit.
Getting money onto the site is always the easy part.

It's literally 3 rakes built into one table. And yet they can't do any rake back program. I don't use either of these functions because I know once I start I won't stop.

I think you have to play with the $110 before cashing out, but it would turn into real money very quickly. So if you play on the site anyway, they are essentially paying you $11 to get a membership so I can't see a downside at all.
The time bank is by far the most annoying thing about this site to me. It's way too low. It has lagged and forced me to check/fold monsters in big pots twice. I would've gladly payed for more time, but couldn't because it lagged for a few seconds.

I don't mean to be rude but this reads like my wife when she excitedly proclaims that she saved 20% on a $500 item. Okay, but you still spent $400.
My goal on a poker site is to deposit as little as possible and build up a roll. Giving them $1200 a year in monthly increments regardless of perceived value of the training or saving on coins is the opposite of that. It seems like something only unaware rec players would do to always have money in their accounts. In that regard, I guess I'm glad they're offering it.

100% agree about the time bank. I refuse to pay to show hole cards or for extra time because it just seems like an extra rake trap to me, but the shortness of the time bank along with the site buffering has cost me majorly in a couple of big hands.
Your analogy is different. Spending 400 instead of 500 is still spending 400. But spending 99 and being given 110 is literally a net of +11. If you're a losing player and would've deposited less than that, then yeah, it's still a net loss in that case.
$20NL - I just had a guy shove all-in 280 BBs effective on the river vs my Jack-Ten of Spades with KQo on a 9d-Qs-Kh-As-Ks board. (I have a Royal Flush he has a full house) - I could feel his pain through the computer screen. Sorry buddy. You'll get'em next time..
His fault. He could have just called my 75% pot river bet. What if I had AK? /s

Lmao. I'm donking around at ultra micros rn trying out a "thoughtful maniac" strategy while trying to juke my VPIP / PFR numbers. At NL2 - after a few times, the view hole cards option is 10bb!!!. I'm also doing it a LOT as I want to see what I'm able to get a 60/9 to fold with a 1/3 pot river bet meant to fold out the bottom part of his range. Spoiler - typically it's just air that they called two streets with rather than a made hand. 😃
Figuring out the ranges of the $4 flippers also burns a lot of bbs.
I'm having fun though, which is generally the point for me.
Better hope the bots don't show up in big numbers, they will make you pay to report them.

That's good that your enjoying playing on the site
I'm enjoying playing on there a lot also.
Is there any reason that PLO hands are face down pre-flop until it's your turn to act? Seems like an incredibly dumb bug.
